It strikes me as so deceptive that Scorsese would make him retell the last bit, but then again, he showed himself telling him to retell it, so.... Just makes me wonder how many other takes were recreations.
it's the making him retell the last bit that gets me. watching him retell a few times, each time the same more or less, but getting more and more engrossing.
@curbyourwife - i also think the wrestling scene from Reservoir Dogs is taken from the opening of this film, and Tim Roth's Mr. Orange character reminds me a lot of Prince as well . . .
This was a crazy doc. I agree with you. Also I think there is a Neil Diamond reference in Pulp Fiction, not so overt as the Adrenaline part, but right before she does the heroin, thinking it's coke, she puts on a Neil Diamond cover of..."Girl You'll Be a Woman Soon."
Funny thing is I can see his "American Boy" story in friends and family. One in particular. But wow, just amazing in depth in your face realism. Truth in it's raw state. Gotta love it.
I saw this documentary yesterday in the Rome film Festival...It was absolutely amazing! Something everyone must see to understand scorsese's way of living the cinema! Greatest director ever!
Haha "I blew him between ethyl and regular" has been playing over and over in my head all day. I cannot stop thinking about this guy, such a fascinating individual.
Oh man I've been hunting this film down for so long. Thank you so much! I am completely blown away by it. It exceeded my expectations, by far. He is the kind of person you can just stay up talking to till 6am at diner or something and never get tired of.

Bullets would not blow a person across a gas station, or any significant distance at that matter. I think he's lying about where he shot the guy.

@NeverMind9132 this was before mythbusters when you could get away with big-fish-like story additions

Thanks for posting the Stephen Prince documentary. I had
spent much time looking for this and am surprised it never received greater distribution; more people need to see this. Bravo!.
