If everybody started becoming more and more intelligent, information would become LESS valuable because losing a bit here and there won't make much of a difference since everyone would be pretty intelligent anyways.

An analogy: A poor man would value a can of soup more than a rich man would.

If you wanted education to be more valuable, then yeah you'd want everyone else to lack information so that yours would be worth more if you were to, for example, sell it or tutor or something.

It's basic supply and demand. The more of something there is, the less value it has, even with intelligence.
