  • Not knowing how to turn left without a green protected arrow caused me to fail my first road test in New York. I requested that my driving instructor work on this part of the test with me, but he said "Oh, they will make you turn right." Well, the exanimer made me turn left and I failed on the spot. My nerves also got the better of me. Thankfully, this video and practice of this will help my pass my second attempt.

  • I am so nervous for my test tomorrow! :(

  • @jayden2595 Did you pass? :) I take my test in 2 weeks!

  • my driving instructor and a great saying for unprotected left turns

    "left goes last" simple

  • My test is Thursday but I'm in New York. I'm so nervous...

  • :D Just something that made me laugh. Reminded me of the trials and tribulations of a driving test:

  • I like the blue animated car!

  • My test is tomorrow ! :O

But so far all these positive comments are motivating me! :D

  • I passed my test a couple of months ago thanks to these videos.

  • my road test is in 2 hours these vids are helpful x)

  • im worry about the test any advises guys im driving mustang manual transmission

    and im not use to

  • My instructor told me that I had no errors except for not checking my blind spot going into a bike lane. I did check my blindspot. Of course I completely forgot to yield a couple minutes earlier and that was not an error.

  • @shrks2cup20 wat state u take ur test in?

  • very accurate

  • I failed at here.

  • yup. Where I messed up.

  • so turning left at an intersection when the light turns yellow is okay ?

  • @uhjustinee if youre already in the intersection then yes.

  • THIS IS WHY I FAILED!!!

  • 0:39

"you need to edge out into the middle of the intersection"

    FAIL

You do not enter the intersection until you can clear the intersection.

You should not be passing the stop line until you are clear to complete your turn.

  • @Anubis78250 Yeah this is so confusing! Everywhere on the internet says to go into the middle, but my friend just failed his driving test for going in the middle when he had an unprotected left turn. D:

  • @Anubis78250 that's not true. You entered on a green light and if you don't go out into the middle, nobody is ever going to make the turn. You have the right to turn on a green light and if you've entered an intersection, you have no choice but to get out even if it's on a red light.

  • @Anubis78250 consider that this video was uploaded by the DMV.

they know more than you do obviously

  • @SakuChan139612 if you want to turn left and the Red light is on you are suppose to wait it out until it becomes green, however, if u want to make a right turn on a red light, then you have to check the intersection, make sure there are no cars moving, or going into the lane u want to drive in, then make a right turn, even if the red light is on.

  • @SakuChan139612 well.when you come to a red light completely stop.theeeen after three seconds look and make sure the driving instructor sees. then i think its ok to turn right.never left
