  • Go to the key of C. Learn this sequence. Play CEG then play FAC then play GBD. Learn those cords well and use them to play almost any basic devotional song.

  • can you please give the basic chords to that song? I am trying to learn how to play devotional songs and I really need help. Thanks.

  • Dr.Kemp: Another super anointed number from you and for our friend and brother in the Lord, Ryan:

What conventions do you play for??? They're blessed to have you.

    Rev. Michael Capps, D.D., Th.D, Re.D, Ph.D

    Bishop:

  • I am an Assistant Presiding Elder and Assistant General Sunday School Superintendant in the Church of God Founded by Jesus Christ - a small denomination founded in 1916 by Bishop William H. Lilly in North Carolina. Our headquarters is in Salisbury, NC so I play there in September, and at our two conventions in March and June. The conventions move around the country.

  • Thank you so much! You played it way beyond my expectations. They sang this last night at the church I was at last night, which was partly why I requested that you play this. I'm so glad I did!

    God bless,

    Ryan

  • It was my pleasure. I listened to several versions of the song on youtube and of course had to learn and then reinterpret the music. I had never heard this hymn before last evening. Thank you for introducting it to me. I will have to play it at one of our church conventions. I will pick up the pace of the music and use it as a marching song while the ushers lead the congregation around the church to give their offerings. It's one of our traditions. Glad you enjoyed it.
