I usually use food as a perspective too. People don't listen to music like they used to. It's more just heard. There's no depth, nor is there the attitude that something needs to or can be taken in by it. Music lies in the details and most can't hear a difference. And then every thing else he said is right on as well.

Lenny! Great! Yes, I couldn't agree more, the bar has been lowered and lowered by a lot! All if the individuality is getting sucked out of music and music has been turned into fast food. It's ok to lay into a Big Mac every once in a while, but if you try to live on that stuff...you die! Back in the day music fans really, REALLY loved the music they were checking out, and now it's all about the party. Today it seems as if music is there just for decoration. What happened!?
