  • omg the hair facial hair-.- had to look at the uploader for a sec to amke sure it was you

  • 8:03

    "PASTAAA"...?

    I smell a Hetalian.

  • Im sure they bear n lion cubs maybe even sum elephants lol

  • This place must be like hell for both people and animals

  • This is so wrong, a majority of these animals belong in the wild,so sad :(

  • Where some on my family lives in western Canada, they can't even have rats, mice, squirrels or just about any other rodents as pets other than hamsters because its against the law. Apparently, some one let a whole bunch of rodents free one time and it cost the city millions of dollars to clean up because they sick animals we're making the wild life sick >< Japan is a small temperate place, that co so easily happen.

  • they have so many cool animals in their pet stores...

  • this is sick.. the cages are so small and some of them belong in the wild and not at somebodys home.. sick people..

  • Where are the Pokemon???

  • why would you hold yourself an owl as a pet? they´re night active so wtf.

  • GIMME DAT OWL! :o

  • i want the meer cat

  • where are the dogs and cats?

  • I swear to god during the first few seconds I saw a MONKEY why did u not show us that( ̄^ ̄)ゞ

  • I WANT MEER CAT

  • Exotic pet laws are very loose in Japan. Any laws they do have are under enforced. Personally I find this very awesome! (I WANNA ARMADILLO!)

  • @ 2:17 -- ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!

  • I see Japan doesn't have a "no exotic pets" policy... Too bad. People can't provide the right care or environment for some of the pets you showed (baby owl, really?)

Still, that was kinda coo... Oh, armadillo! ^_^

  • If it has pet meerkats and sugar gliders. Then where are the hedgehogs.

  • wow...its lyk a zoo! are all pet shops in japan like that? xx

  • Jesus Tom - do you have some fetish for frogs behind?

  • The Japanese ppl said "Fuck dogs! I want an armadillo! XD That was awesome! Great vid Tom!

  • WHOA!!! Are owls legal to own in japan!? If so my love for japan just grew!

  • The poor, poor animals. Them there is far too much.

  • in my opinion i think that's alot of money for pets

  • all those animals are so cute.

  • So...uh...where are the dogs???

  • to the extreme? hitman reborn?! xD

  • A baby owl as a pet!? Holy sheeeeiiiit awesome!

  • 10:10 that's gotta be the first time i seen a bunch of birds in a tank rather than a cage

  • Funny how there all the pets are lively and squealing and stuff when most of the pet stores in America are abnormally quiet.

plus, I've always wanted a pet squirrel... another reason to move to Japan. xD

  • Are you sure it's pet store ? not a restaurant ?

  • squirrels as pets?!?!!? thats fuckin epic tom! ok i have to move to japan now there pet stores are awsome!!!

  • And the PETA people go craycray xD

  • Peta is crying ...

  • I really wish I could understand prices lol.

  • 1:43 ohhh....we we weeeee.....cute

  • Today I learn alot of animals are legal to have in Japan that we can't back in da states

  • Can we all just agree that reptiles are fuckin evil?

They would all eat you if they could.

You think a boa loves you?

LMAO, feed that ass, ge him nice and big, n leave him with you baby...

    Nuff said.

  • Pokemons....lol

  • Ugh, that poor meerkat .... no digging for you buddy ... ever. =(

  • @Skandronicus maybe a zoo rescues him...

  • xD amazing what is legal in Japan as a pet. But every country has it's own laws, just wish I could own something cool like a Fennec Fox legally in CA.

  • Animal laws differ alot by country, hell in canada the pet stores are pretty dull compared to the states ones (I used to work part time at a exotic pet store in the states when i was younger, baby ball pythons wanted to know if i was food.) Though I find it funny they sell armadillos, in texas we called them road hazards XD.

  • Meerkats are animals that belong in a group. There must be no animal codes in Japan..that totally sucks .

Dude, you look more & more like Aiden Quinn every year! WTH?

  • Comment removed

  • i have a ferret.... he stinks..... no offense at all

  • Those poor animals...I'd wanna kill myself if I was stuck in that place. So small and the noise is insane. You put predatory animals near their prey...yer thats brilliant.

Not sure whether to give a thumbs up coz I like you or a thumbs down cause of the bs being done to the animals :S

  • Selling a Meerkat?? That's fucked up.

  • I dare you to lick all the froggy butts! lol

  • Birds in aquariums ? Cant be legal can it..

  • seems awfully crowded in there. I guess thats Japan for you. :)

  • Ferrets dont smell any worse than a cat or dog... You just need to change there litter 2times a day. It's there poo and pee that stink... There stink glands are removed as baby's.

  • rodents...

  • this store is still 100x cleaner then any petsmart ive ever been to

  • love ya tom, but this ws too loud for me

  • Lick ALL THE BUTTS

  • ugh jesus fucking christ...

  • how can the birds be in aquarium??? poor birds

  • Is this a common type pet store? A looooot of those animals should not be in cages... :( I was really surprised to see meerkats, prairie dogs, armadillos, and an owl... They sell sugar gliders here which I saw there too... and it makes me sad... I hate pet stores... and I guess Japanese ones aren't any better.. if not worse...

  • Sugoi! But Poor Animals. My heart sunk when I saw The Meerkat, the prairie dogs and that owl. I mean it'll be cool to have as a pet but I rather prefer them to be free in their own natural habitat. Its not cool having animals in such small cages. But it was a cool video though.

  • this video makes me sad, some of thoes animals like the owls are sapoused to live in the wild not be a pet theres and like keeping 3 or 4 of thoes birds in small glass boxes is horible they have no room to fly let alone walk

  • Cruel

  • Meer cats are not suppose to be pets :(

  • Screw texas

    EVERYTHING IS BIGGER IN JAPAN

  • Gods I haven't heard that much noise since we stopped raising the lovebirds and budgies... And.. there I see the lovebirds... yeah noisy little buggers lol.

  • where are the dogs?

  • i lasted a minute and 25sec i cant stand the sound but i gave you a thumbs up anyway

  • God! That was noisy, even for a maga-pet lover like me! I'm a little bit confused here. On the one hand i love animals, on the other I hate the wild animals being in the shop instead of their home. Wouldn't be allowed in UK. Good vid, though! Nice going, Tom!

  • Ghost of frogubara... :P

  • hippnofrog

  • You can get pets in Japan that you can't get in the USA man...this country sucks..(USA)-_-

  • @ 10:29 this bird looks like: "u wanna piece of me, eh?" XD cool stuff

  • I had a hamster when I was young. They dont live long enought, they often die from illness so when he died I cryed about a week after that;). And these little rodent pets looks so unhappy.

For those who planning to buy one of them - I suggest you to buy a kitty(or puppy) instead! Not from the local pet store but from professional animal breeder (so your pet will be healthy, vaccinated etc).

  • @suineg1 Your pet will be healthy from a breeder - don't make me laugh! Would never buy from a breeder ever. Would buy an abandoned pet from a rescue centre. They are the animals that really need help and a home!

  • i wunt the pokemanz!

  • Will someone shut those birds up?

  • Having a pet owl would be awesome!

    I agree about Ferrets...they stink!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Loved this video! So cute. Baby owl kawaii!!

  • omg almost all of this lil friends have to be at nature not at pet store ¬¬

  • It's crazy noisy, both the animals and the people but it's much cleaner than many pet stores I've visited in Canada and I'm guessing they do a fair trade so maybe the animals aren't there for very long before being taken to a quieter home (hopefully). I always wish I had millions of dollars to buy exotic pets and release them back to their homelands! (I know, too silly)

  • alot of these things are a no no in the states...are they ok japan...i want a white risu :(

  • I've been to that pet store a few times before, I felt bad for the animals, the cages are to small for a lot of the animals they carry.

  • Around 3:01 when you said "you dare me to lick his butt" you had your camera pointed to the butt of the person in the orange shirt. I can only imagine what that person must be thinking if that person speak english.

  • holy cow. Do they not have any rules regarding exotic species over there? Half the animals shown in this video would be banned in canada. And yeah, I think you'd go deaf working there... that or become a bird killer.

  • @ 3:36 I think we caught him masturbating... Sorry! ^.^

  • the iguana 3:36 "wha? me? oh god! oh god no!!!!"

  • so noisy.....

  • brb moving to japan to buy an armadillo

  • Somehow this video made me more sad than anything else, so many of these animals feel trapped, and are occupied with animals that can cause stress and a threat feeling being around them. And the meerkat? that's a wild animal, trapped in a cage too small and no ability to behave like itself. hmm... sad.

  • Yea you should go do another video on pet store that has dogs

  • Hebi aka snakes!

  • didnt see any aliens :\

  • how much is the meerkat in canadian?

  • @MillieBoBilly about 5,404

  • @irawrz4u if only I lived in the desert and had that money.

  • this is so sad :'(

  • @calculatorINSTINCTS why ?

    that owl looked happy

  • They smell bad if you don't get them descented. ;)

  • Hey Tom, could you do a video of you walking around a small town, showing what shops there is etc? and maybe go into a few like this one. Maybe even show what you get when you go grocery shopping?

  • that place is to small for that many animals.

  • Is it illegal to have those animals in Japan?

  • yeah i had 2 ferrets and i agree they smell bad

  • can you really have those as pets? :S

  • I want those kick ass little turtles

  • /sadface

  • I wonder how chaotic it would be to unleash a squirrel or chipmunk in a home... I can't imagine it going too well lol.

  • That is the saddest thing I have ever seen. Those poor animals. I did not watch more than the first two minutes, those creatures are suffering in those cages.

    CRUEL.

  • what is it with you and licking butts, man?

  • An OWL!?

  • HOLY CRAP I want a owl. . that place is like animal paradise omg

  • Ugh! You never keep geckos on sand, if they ingest it it can kill them! Meerkats, owls? How is this legal? There are WAY too many animals in that store too! The noise must drive the poor things crazy.

  • @Razzlewolfflight Meerkats will go freaking nuts without companions as they're naturally pack animals

  • @Razzlewolfflight Its Japan. They dont need a reason for anything.

  • almost 4000 euro for a meerkat? o.o

  • this video needs subtitles.

  • Good job Tom.

  • I've seen black, brown, and grey squirrels. Never white ones.

  • waau O.O funny and sad vid the same time~

  • so exotic!

  • The noise, its crasy.

  • That's more of a zoo than a pet shop!!! :|

  • it is so disgusting!!

Why don't get these shops closed?

Aren't there any rights to safe animals in japan??

  • Dinosaur Dick

  • That's sooooo cool. A BABY OWL!

  • Poor animals.. but Thank you for making a video and keep us updated.

  • jesus christ... can't these people just let them be free in their own natural habitat?

  • lol @ 8:40 I made race car noises to myself :P ... I wonder how much expresso that little guy had lol :P

yeah @ Puppyjans , you wouldn't have to worry about and bugs in the house ^_^

Thanks for the video! I saw some interesting critters there lol

  • Man some of this stuff you can never have in America. Atleast not California.

  • @MegaSeptim That's because most people wouldn't be able to take care of an exotic animals, since exotic animals usually require more time, attention and care, not to mention money. Being at a pet store, a person would usually buy the animal on-spot without knowing much about it, only because they want it. A little egotistical, if you ask me. This would also promote some people to capture more wild animals and sell them in the pet trade. There's a slim chance the wild-caught animals carry disease

  • they sell lots of different animals in japan than in canada, kinda cruel though, so loud! Animals need peace and quite to. also a lot of those animals dont make good pets! squirrels were going crazy!

  • look at the baby birds or this neighbour.. very ugly or this meerkat... not nice

  • poor pets :( many of them r not home-pets... thats ugly realy

  • that owl is like 1500 $ ? o.O

  • You can buy squirrels in Japan? brb moving

  • Could you do a video on Pepsi Next? I've seen it but could never find it in any stores in Japan.

  • I've never seen a pet shop with an owl lol

  • i feel with the animals damn o: still nice video : D

  • The prices were astounding! I couldn't work there with all that noise!

  • What did you buy?

  • Almost all of those animal look like they want to escape. :-(

    Can't blame them. :s

  • Cool video! But, somewhat of a bummer to see all those animals in cages. Thumbs up!

  • someone kill those birds!!! so loud!

  • cool video like everytime !

  • This video makes me very sad.

  • A Merrikat!? :O Time to pack for Japan.

  • Geat video as always. (besides the freakin birds lol)

  • all i kept thinking about was the meerkat throughout the whole video. i want one so bad!!!!!!!!! D:

  • Looks like hell for the animals.. Constant noise, being trapped and cornered.

  • 4:14 a leopard gecko =D i used to have one, you can tell how healthy they are by the size of their purple tail.

the bottom of their tails are SUPER soft, like beyond baby butt smooth kind of soft

  • 1:56 What is that? A living/breathing wig? O_o

  • poor animals >__>

  • not even one pikachu!??...cheapstakes :)

  • @ghostofmatsubara you should go to kakegawa bird park in shizuoka prefecture look it up i had the best time there

  • Is it even legal to sell pets like meerkats or an owl? Never saw that before, lol.

  • This is one of the things I disliked about Japan, the pet stores. When I live in Nagoya the giant super market across from my dorm had a pet shop and I didn't like how they treated the dogs. Once they lost their puppy charm, the dogs were put in cardboard boxes in the back room; which the tried to hide but you could still see it.

  • Lol! When I saw the price of the owl I saw the actual number but when I did a estimated conversion to dollars my mind dropped a zero. Imagine my shock when I looked at it again. $1000-some really does make a difference. XD

  • @Patheticlivings $1660... Pets are really expensive over there.

  • This isn't a pet store, it's a food market.

  • sugoi!

  • ....this is sick. an owl? wtf? ahaahahhaaa

  • I liked the variety but the care wasn't too good. Sugargliders (the animal at the beginning) should NOT of been in such an environment.

  • cool store i think some of them are dead ?

i want that harry potter owl >:(

  • @Puppyjans you would think that it's a nocturnal animal it would be treated as such, right?!

  • @calculatorINSTINCTS you can buy owls here in Hong Kong........

That owl looked well happy and very well kept if your worried maybe you should camp outside the store chanting Animal rights or something ? or ask ghost dude to go back and buy it to set it free so it can fly right into a office window or something ?

  • @Puppyjans If I would, but I don't have the money.

    a) The animal is connected to its perch via a cable. After a period of time animals give up trying to escape from compounds and accept their fate. I'm sure that owl would not want to be bound to a single perch & gave up.

    b) Owls by nature are nocturnal animals. My primary concern is why the animal cannot have some sort of a shelter in order to achieve their proper circadian rhythm.

    c) And lol, I'm not surprised you can purchase owls in HK.

  • Free them dude!

  • Imagine working there and having to hear that sound all day long. >_<

  • wow

  • man watching with headphones on gives you a headache lol

  • Cool!! First time I have ever been so close to the 1st viewer. lol #4 represent! lol
