Not only is it a legitimate question, it's a poignant one. One that the corporate media should have grilled him with. Too bad bloggers are left cleaning up the carcasses left by Senatorial vultures like Durbin.

Can't you guys get it into your head. The Senate is a club. Durbin prefers the worst, nastiest, backstabbing-est, flip-flopping Judas in the Senate to ANY OF YOU. Hey Durbie, if you have the audacity to justify Lieberman's idiocy with lame platitudes, at least be ready with a SINGLE example that might justify that platitude. Your hilarious righteous indignation at the end betrays the fact YOU KNOW YOU'RE WRONG. But you don't care, because the Senate is a club, and you gotta protect its members.

Palin would fit right in beside Durbin in the Senate. They seem to be intellectual equals. Asking specific questions is a violation of first amendment rights doncha know. You Betcha.
