Hola Wapos!
Hi, Barfsoup! Welcome again. I am thinking of setting up a foundation... they are too many now ;)))). By the way, I (& midhue) have a question for you have you seen Juncos in your area? See you have a twin brother...impressive mental connection between both of you ;DDDD
Yes! my secret alterego identity is out now. To answer your question about juncos. I haven't seen juncos for a few months now, but I used to have about 1/2 dozen come to my feeder everyday back in the winter. They were nice to see hanging around.
Hi, Gurdonark! I am glad you like it! I find them elegant, somehow. You will receive news about me because of my total lack of skill at video editing :)))) Happy to see you here, again.
Eurasian collared doves have "invaded" the US, but they are mostly in places like Florida and south Texas. Here it would be rock pigeons or mourning doves that would be the movie stars. What makes your video so special is that you get these doves in a nice elegant grouping, like a gathering for Sunday dinner.
Making videos with audio is fun! If I can help, please let me know.
A loud cry of help is coming ;)) There are invading us, too. Till now, they do not form flocks, couples live isolated from other individuals. Pigeons are becoming invaders which bring so many risks to human health. Well, it is always our fault, isn't it?
Our record in this country with invaders is so unfortunate! In the 19th Century, perfectly fine birds like the English sparrow were brought here by groups here who actually founded societies to transplant invaders.
I like the cattle egret, though. They did not "invade" us through human interference, but instead flew from Africa to South America, and then made their way up north to Texas from there. They are a more admirable kind of invader---self-motivated!
Flocks of migrative birds are always welcome here, too. In the south, we have the little extraordinary Merops Apiaster flocks that come from Africa to nest in our country. It is breathtaking sight! Cattle egrets are also very beautiful....are they those ones with red long hair ;)?

Take care
