I do this steps:

1. Make sure USB cable, Battery and charger are removed from device.

2. Insert USB cable to device

3. Insert Battery to device

4. Insert Charger to device

--- Press phone's power button! ---

and nothing happens :s

i am in india and i got a sim locked phone from UAE .so i gave the phone for unlocking in a shop and they put mt6225 china phone software in it.now phone is nothing more than a china phone .cant use wifi and 3g cant do anything.can some one suggest how i can flash it back to symbian os?

ok! good tutorial! i've managed to fix my faulty nokia 3110c after hours of browsing the net.

i have used phoenix 2009.34.014.40684.

but: when starting this tutorial the phone must be DISCONNECTED from the computer. follow the tutorial with your phone disconnected from the USB cable. after pressing the Refurbish button, you will receive instructions on how to connect the phone to the computer. follow those instructions and then wait. you might receive an error at the end, but it's still OK.

I tried to flash my nokia 5220 xpress music using phoenix

I waz doin dead phone usb flasing

But after some process i am getting error

The error is-

The flashing failed. Do you like to retry the flashing?

HRESULT 0x84210027 (-2078212057)

Firmware: Firmware updating failed. Error 0x8401F167 - Flash: Failed to initialize update server.

Pls someone give me a solution to this error

To resolve the Dp1 and Dp2 problem you have to go to Tools>Data Package Download and write the product code for the desired phone and then download.

So you need the repective phone files in order to do a firmware update and don't forget to pecify the path of Dp1 and Dp2 ( Tools>Options>Product Location ) Dp1 to C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\

Dp2(user location) to C:\Program Files\Nokia\Phoenix\Products\

ok so i got a lock code process and thought taht maybe i should try it with dead phone (good example) and when i get to the firmware update part, it says u got no (something) and (something) and it will do a auto detect and then a window pop up and it says auto detect, i click it and it says -- product detecting failed!! im i using a old verison? and i got a nokia n95! plz help plz

I had to flash my dead Nokia 5130 XpressMusic, but Phoenix didn't have the necessary firmwares for my phone.

I had to download the firmware and then paste it in the folder C:\ProgramFiles\Phoenix\Produc­ts.

Finally I've followed all the instructions given by lordmada00 and everything is fine now.

Excellent guide. I had flash my phone with a new edition but ovi store wasn't working so I tried to flash it with the old stuff but it killed it. Used your method and it's working again....With OVI!!!! Awesome job
