10 yrs old I got Hi Infidelity for x-mas. My next record I bought by them was Get What You Play For. That live album is one of my favorites to this day.
@lickknob11 I had both of those myself. Being from the Midwest, REO was always a staple and Richrath's guitar was unmatched. Miss hearing him and seeing him with them. Whatever caused him to leave? Creative differences or just plain tired of the road, or what? Anybody know?
@1danrobbins The story is he after years of being pushed into just being the guitar player in Cronin's power ballad band he started to let the partying get the better of him and just didn't care anymore. I refuse to call anything after 1984 REO. Nine Lives was the last real REO album.
@lickknob11 I grew up in Casyeville,Ill . They were big in that area the metroeast as they call it,but REO really sucked it up with HI INFEDELITY ,they were never the same
basically you could say anything before HI INFEDELITY was good after that they sucked
I DIG GARY THE MOST

@lickknob11 Yes i that was my impression too. I grew up 3 door from Gary, and they used to use my old 1960 Olds wagon to transport the equipment.
REO-Gary=Not REO.

looks like gary could have found a decent singer. i always liked garys style of playing.

Gary bends the crap out of those notes, it's so common for him to break strings. Seen it many times.
