The movie is that boring. Dumbledore's death lacks emotion. I have just thought. "Well, now he is dead. Shit happens." The acting of Harry, Hermione and Ron is - well, unsatisfying. The only, who lightens up that movie is Helena Bonham Carter.

They are making a sequel to Twilight because they want to. Its true they are doing it because there is a second(and third) book, but they don't need an excuse to write a script about anything they want to.

I actually felt the oposite was true. I'm 23 and I've just spent the last week reading the Potter series, whereas while I was interested in the story of Twilight and I liked the movie I found the writing style much more simplistic. It's almost as if Potter was written as though adults would be reading it to their children (so it was necessary for there to be a literary subtext), while Twilight was aimed at a market of teens to young adults.

twilight is good yeah i agree. but i disagree about hp not being for older readers. it may seem like a childrens book but its not. it expresses deep morals about bravery, loyalty, love, and death. children will enjoy this book, but i think its rare for some of them to understand some of the deeper concepts. i think hp starts out as a children book but as harry matures so does the book and the material. :)

i like both the book and the movie for HP and twilight. here in the Philippines a complete set soft bound of twilight book will just cost you 3,000 pesos but for the HP book hard bound complete set is 8,000 pesos , per piece is almost 2,000 pesos. For me for thats the reason why more people read twilight books because it's affordable than the HP book. another thing some parts of the twilight book are verbous that it's quite boring in comparison with HP book .

HP has been out since I was in 3rd grade...I'm a freshman in college...of course I read it before it was popular. It's been translated into over 60 languages. On top of that, Stephanie Meyers is not as good a writer as J.K. Rowling and SM writes for more mature audiences. How sad it that? Also HP is more complicated and intricate. Twilight's plot was more straight forward. And then Twilight doesn't get to the conflict until the last 4th of the book and it doesn't even build up to it.

If you like LOTR, read Robert Jordans "Wheel of Time" series. He's a genius. It's a lot like LOTR, but if you can believe it, has even more depth. Robert Jordan had a major in some sort of social science and he was in a war so he can write battles really well. He must have a 1000 characters and 4 or 5 different races and languages. And every culture has their own unique customs. You have to read them several times to get everything they are so intricate but they suck you in!

I actually felt the oposite was true. I'm 23 and I've just spent the last week reading the Potter series, whereas while I was interested in the story of Twilight and I liked the movie I found the writing style much more simplistic. It's almost as if Potter was written as though adults would be reading it to their children (so it was necessary for there to be a literary subtext), while Twilight was aimed at a market of teens to young adults.

twilight is good yeah i agree. but i disagree about hp not being for older readers. it may seem like a childrens book but its not. it expresses deep morals about bravery, loyalty, love, and death. children will enjoy this book, but i think its rare for some of them to understand some of the deeper concepts. i think hp starts out as a children book but as harry matures so does the book and the material. :)

I love them both! I don't see why people compare them, I mean, they are not alike at all! They are both great series though! i like both the book and the movie for HP and twilight. here in the Philippines a complete set soft bound of twilight book will just cost you 3,000 pesos but for the HP book hard bound complete set is 8,000 pesos , per piece is almost 2,000 pesos. For me for thats the reason why more people read twilight books because it's affordable than the HP book. another thing some parts of the twilight book are verbous that it's quite boring in comparison with HP book .

HP has been out since I was in 3rd grade...I'm a freshman in college...of course I read it before it was popular. It's been translated into over 60 languages. On top of that, Stephanie Meyers is not as good a writer as J.K. Rowling and SM writes for more mature audiences. How sad it that? Also HP is more complicated and intricate. Twilight's plot was more straight forward. And then Twilight doesn't get to the conflict until the last 4th of the book and it doesn't even build up to it.

If you like LOTR, read Robert Jordans "Wheel of Time" series. He's a genius. It's a lot like LOTR, but if you can believe it, has even more depth. Robert Jordan had a major in some sort of social science and he was in a war so he can write battles really well. He must have a 1000 characters and 4 or 5 different races and languages. And every culture has their own unique customs. You have to read them several times to get everything they are so intricate but they suck you in!
