i suspect that dark matter is an emergent property not noticed, in general, by smaller objects

I have a problem with the way they calculate illuminated mass. When they calculate the illuminated mass of a galaxy, they don't seem to be taking into account that galaxies are 3 dimensional. There are upwards of 100 billion stars in there. It is not only possible, but highly likely that any one star in the forefront can be blocking the light from many stars behind it? That could definitely account for all this dark matter, could it not? We are only seeing the light from the front layer.

If dark matter was a new exotic particle, or any type of particle that did not interacted with regular matter except through gravity like is mentioned in the video, then there would be planets and stars of dark matter because of their interation. We wouldnt be able to see them, but we could feel their gravity, but that does not happen.

i suspect that dark matter is an emergent property not noticed, in general, by smaller objects
so it is like a clustering gravitational effect but something different, and actually another fundamental force. so there would be electromagnetism, strong, weak, gravity and then the "cluster gravity" force which wasn't actually gravity but a different fundamental force that only works on a larger scale, only emerging amongst massive countities of mass.

The evidence is found by observing gravitational lensing around colliding galaxies. Imagine two galaxies zooming toward each other. As they pass and begin to spiral, the heavier dark matter overshoots more than regular matter, then bounces back... just like the momentum of a fat guy vs that of a thin guy.

I have a problem with the way they calculate illuminated mass. When they calculate the illuminated mass of a galaxy, they don't seem to be taking into account that galaxies are 3 dimensional. There are upwards of 100 billion stars in there. It is not only possible, but highly likely that any one star in the forefront can be blocking the light from many stars behind it? That could definitely account for all this dark matter, could it not? We are only seeing the light from the front layer.

Dark (missing) matter can't be seen because it's not in our time. I can't believe there's so many people spouting about not knowing where the dark matter is. Einsteins relativity explains it. Part of the black holes and stars are dense and interact gravitationally with each other in their past. No special incomprehensible dimensions or particles just past and the future. Why can't a PhD somewhere give it some thought and write a paper so I don't have to hear "where's the dark matter?"

This makes no sense. If dark matter was a new exotic particle, or any type of particle that did not interacted with regular matter except through gravity like is mentioned in the video, then there would be planets and stars of dark matter because of their interation. We wouldnt be able to see them, but we could feel their gravity, but that does not happen.

@xenoepist Not only that, big planets and stars would trap some of this particles by means of gravity making themselves heavier every time the do so, therefore the gravity force of Jupiter, the sun and even earth would increase with time, but that does not happen either. My explanation is that since gravitions can escape from this dimention, maybe the effects of gravity that we see on galaxies is the result of gravitions comming from other dimentions. Just an idea!

I heard of this inflation theory which says that in inflation the universe expanded faster than light, and when the inflation stopped the light began to reach it. So is that why space is dark? cause in the top of inflation is no light? I probably need to read more about this..its interesting

@wersuss Dark matter is a theoretical form of matter which is believed to account for around 80% of all mater in the universe (that number changes depending on the source and time it was stated). Basically it is an answer to the "missing mass" problem. According to calculations and models, without dark matter there wouldn't be enough mass to keep galaxies/ clusters/ superclusters together.
