The Cream colored Schipperke, as well as all solid colored Schips are now accepted into the UKC. They can be shown conformation UKC and there is one Champion Cream colored Schip now. The website for the club is usschipclub
Although Black is only recognized in the confirmation ring ( as put in place by SCA) AKC does register othere colors as you can see above. all other colors may participate in agility, CD, as well as other compatitions. They cannot as yet be in the show ring but There are those of out there working for that day when colors can show in confirmation in the USA. Other countries allow the colors.
We've had two schipps BoBo who was brown and white and Blue who's black with a with a reddish tint with blue skin ..Both great dogs very playfull happy dogs ..love em
The outercoat must be black. Any color other than a natural black is a disqualification. The undercoat, however, may be slightly lighter. During the shedding period, the coat might take on a transitory reddish cast, which is to be penalized to the degree that it detracts from the overall black appearance of the dog. Graying due to age (seven years or older) or occasional white hairs should not be penalized. (taken from AKC site)
@secularwin There was a discussion in the comments about colors, if AKC did or not recognize schipperkes of others colors. I love non-black schipperkes also as blacks ones, so before criticize me, please read the context.
