Let's stop thinking about just the money factor and stop thinking your kids are gonna smoke it if it's legal. They already do and it's illegal. Let's talk about the fact that cannabis can take in more green house gasses per acre than an acre of trees. Also, hemp can be used for it's nutritional seeds and creates up to 35% more ethanol than corn. The only logical answer to why it's still illegal is the only reason it was made illegal... lies and racism.

Pot has opened my mind even more, has healed my depression, has helped me with symptoms associated with PMS, helps me sleep, and also keeps my motivation and creativity up, along with a number of other things.
That was difficult for me to even watch without feeling angry. Who in there right mind would even compare pot and alcohol as being similar? I drove to school "high" every single day for over a year. Nothing bad ever happened, if anything I was more focused on the road. Not to mention I was able to produce a 3.8 GPA that whole year while I was "high" on a "drug". For pot to even be called a drug is so misleading. Remember the old saying, "Don't knock it till you try it."
So they sell us cigaretes , that kill hundred of thousand of people each day , but they don't legalize marijuana which since it exists there is no report of somebody dieing BECAUSE of it... , so after 18 or 21 years we can drink alcohol , break a few heads , kill somebody with 2 tons of metal (cars) but we can't smoke some damn pot? @cindybin2001 Cindy, you need to do some research and perhaps apply some development to what seems like a very narrow mind. You can simply look at other countries as examples, Portugal for example you can do whatever drug you want without any punishment for possession. They have had a decrease in teenage drug users and reduced infection rate of HIV (sharing needles). Governments are NOT parents, take responsibility for your children. Educate without bias.
