PC Specs? And what are you using to record?

My PC which I made has a intel q9650@3.6GHz, Gtx285, running at 1920x1200. I recorded a demo file, simply type record xx in console. Then startmovie xx to save the demo as TGA files. I then used virtualdub and the xvid codec to convert to avi. Long Process. Next time i will try using FRAPS, but i think you need to pay for a full version of FRAPS to record more than 5 min of video.
