These guys are great and innovative and I absolutely love some of their songs, but they have to realize that some songs just do not fit the genre, this is one of them. If it doesn't fit they could just get more creative and leave more of the original music behind, this is trying to be both and thus failing at both.

I personally think this could have been a more original cover. I expected more of an authentic gregorian kind of sound. The beginning was perfect until the drums and background voice jumped in, then it kind of lost most of its gregorian style.

Although the chorus sounds a bit forced, the verses sound amazing. I loved evanescence when I was in high school, but they sort of lost their flare for me. This seems to bring back the initial thrill they gave me.
