this guy can't teach you nothing but stuff to be learned by heart, no creativity - just ripping off - both the masters and their styles and you and your money. besides, he himself is far far far far far from master. lmao some guys play for cca. 30 years and they still sound plain and generic. it's all crap, forget everything, the blues is all about you and what you feel. all this other shit is just a fucking sham that vanishes in thin air very quickly. listen to goin' down slow - duane allman ;)
The soul comes later, but first you need to know the essentials and how the play the guitar. It doesn't matter if whether or not he can play with sould if he can teach you theory. That's what lessons are for, no?
Dude, master class? Seriously? First off, people - if you absolutely love blues, and you are serious, buy a few allman bros, bb king and eric clapton cd's, get into it, listen to it every day, play along with it, fiddle with your guitar constantly and develop your ear, rely on nothing but your soul and ears, forget about scales and wipe any thoughts out of your mind when you play. do this for some ten years while ensuring your love for the blues never wanes but grows. voila, you're a master.
wow your teaching style is impeccable. I have played for 28 years your good on the guitar like me. But you can't teach a sandwich out of a bag. If your jams are to impress younger players that you are a guitar god. So there parents will buy your cd. The kids you rip off will never learn the joys of reading music I too can play like you. I just dont rip off kids and have a bad hair cut. Somebody is giving you kudos for playing A Telecaster. well I was country when country wasn't cool
to that wyley fello: Joe Bonamassa just re-hashes all that has been done for the last 50 years. I could play better than him as a kid...man, people kill me jumping on the bandwagon just because someone is 'popular' doesn't make them the best...ALBERT COLLINS blows all of them away!
I cant see him live - what with living in Ireland and all - but I'm judging from what Ive seen on the dvds and youtube - and the timing iand phrasing are terrible here too.

Did Andy finally get a new strat or do I just not know him well enough because I always thought he only had his very very well worn one.
JerkyChid 2 years ago
Andy wears many hats, but the blues based stuff fits him best.
