i personaly like guitar hero games better, but i like the rockband controller better. i cand do expert green grass hightides on rockband1 with its controller but gh controller i can barley do medium.

the only big difference between GH and RB, i think, is that RB is more aiming to be a party game (playing as a band, figures). GH is more a of a solo game and because of this it has harder songs (failing songs often while playing along with friends really isn't fun). GH WT is, in my opinion, a bit of a experimental answer to RB's ability to play as a band.

The graphics and background environment matter quite a lot. It gives more reason to why you have so much fun playing a plastic guitar. You don't just experience matching colors on a fake instrument, you experience the feel of actually being in a concert or a show. Kinda like war games that have people fighting and weapons going off in the background make the immersion better, so does it in these games. PS I have both. Rockband much better experience, GH much better features.

I actually find it reversed now with the latest Guitar Heros. It used to be so in the old ones, but now with Guitar Hero's "string" that holds all the solo notes together, they've made it pretty easy.

GHWT has alot of artists on there: Sting, Ozzy, Travis Barker, Haley Williams(Paramore) to name a few. When you get to play at Times Square New Years, they show up and play with you. I think the only one that is never there is Haley.

I think you guys are getting to heated up about this. Guitar Hero and Rockband are games. Games are made for fun, not to argue over which are better. I have both RB2 and GHWT, and I like both. Sometimes GH is harder, sometimes RB is harder. They chart their songs differently. It doesn't matter. This shouldn't turn into World War III.
Guitar hero makes way better and more accurate charts than rockband. and by that i mean the producers do. and they are not necissarily easier than rockband but they are better
@ Virus2020 you do realize that the first game to have a plastic guitar was Guitar Freaks and there was a version that could be connected with Drum Mania to have Guitars and Drums together on the same song so Harmonix did not think of anything new

The RB guitar has frets within the guitar and there is no big spacing between buttons, making it more realistic.
Fun is a matter of opinion. Personally, I had more fun with GH drums because they were wireless. It meant there was nothing to stop it from getting chucked out the window.
After all, normal graphics are realistic and consequently the opposite of GH's bubbly, cartoony character models and graphics, you miserable twat.
Lol, your explaination is good. But I do NOT like the fret feel of the Rock Band 2/1 Guitar all because of when I play the notes I don't know what to click. It's a little confusing on my side. Also, GH's graphic looks cartoony and stuff because it's for PS2, PS3, or Xbox 360. But for the wii, it looks really real. By the way, I have more fun with the GH drums too!

KingCobra, wow, your points are so great. I don't really know how to argue with them. But I will. GHWT's instruments have been plagued with crosstalk and malfunctioning frets from DAY ONE. The instruments are good, but that means nothing when they DON'T WORK. The vocals system in GHWT is nearly broken, and has a stupid scoring system. The graphics in GH are cartoony and childish, as opposed to the mature, artsy, filtered REALISTIC look of RB.

I think you guys are getting to heated up about this. Guitar Hero and Rockband are games. Games are made for fun, not to argue over which are better. I have both RB2 and GHWT, and I like both. Sometimes GH is harder, sometimes RB is harder. They chart their songs differently. It doesn't matter. This shouldn't turn into World War III.

Guitar hero makes way better and more accurate charts than rockband. and by that i mean the producers do. and they are not necissarily easier than rockband but they are better

@ Virus2020 you do realize that the first game to have a plastic guitar was Guitar Freaks and there was a version that could be connected with Drum Mania to have Guitars and Drums together on the same song so Harmonix did not think of anything new

when Red Octane realized that Harmonix was making such a success with their band game...that is were Red Octane came out with their band game, which that idea was stolen from Harmonix because it was originally theirs...now I played both games....RB or RB2 and GHWT....each game has their kicks, but to be frank...they are both good...but to be honest...for some reason RB or RB2 seems to look like if it was more of a mature game...but WT is much harder than RB

Harmonix and Red Octane were together with the first 2 guitar hero games, guitar hero was the first guitar game and will continue to be the 1st one....I still kinda wish they stayed together, oh well....anyway the reason they both seperated was that after GH2 the guys from Harmonix wanted to make a band game....but Red Octane didn't like that so they kicked them out...then came GH3 and a few months later, boom, Harmonix made their own band game...

Second, he's right. Guitar Hero copied Rock Band on the concept of drums and vocals.
Only Guitar Hero 1, 2, and 80's were made by Harmonix, the creators of Rock Band. Guitar Hero 3, Aerosmith, On Tour, and World Tour were picked up by Activision.

actually activision produced all of those games (excluding rock band) its the developer who has changed from harmonix( guitar hero 1,2 rock the 80's) to neversoft (guitar hero 3, aerosmith, on tour, world tour)
ps harmonix make better games than neversoft who are only known for tony hawk's games and stealing guitar hero and making it REEEEEELY bad.

alright ima throw my 2 cents in in this topic i had a choice to but one of the bundles , gh:wt or rb2 , i went with gh:wt because for me (and its frealyt what you perfer not whats better) gh has better not more better songs on career then rb2, but rb in general is a big whoop for me its because you can download any song ever made pretty much, but i harldy ever have microsoft points so its obvious to go with gh if it has better songs on career wich i play from so....timmys mom is pregnant!!!!

The Drums are actually alot more Intereseting on the Rock Band Software imo.
I DIDN'T Say the Rock Band Drumkit is better than GH, 'cause the GH Kit is probably better.
But the Drums are alot more Involved on Rock Band and the Fills are a better way to Activate Overdrive, makes it so much more Fun.

The RB guitar has frets within the guitar and there is no big spacing between buttons, making it more realistic.
Fun is a matter of opinion. Personally, I had more fun with GH drums because they were wireless. It meant there was nothing to stop it from getting chucked out the window.
After all, normal graphics are realistic and consequently the opposite of GH's bubbly, cartoony character models and graphics, you miserable twat.

Lol, your explaination is good. But I do NOT like the fret feel of the Rock Band 2/1 Guitar all because of when I play the notes I don't know what to click. It's a little confusing on my side. Also, GH's graphic looks cartoony and stuff because it's for PS2, PS3, or Xbox 360. But for the wii, it looks really real. By the way, I have more fun with the GH drums too!

first harmonx the develobers( u know the guys who MAKE the game)
got buaght by ea after g.h. 2 was realsed. they developed the first 2 g.h. games. when they got buaght since they didnt own the name g.h. name they made r.b.( also harmonix 90% of them are in a band)
then the producsers (red octane) got buaght by activision. then activision got neversoft. the tony hawk guys to make guitar hero. and from the look of some of u never played r.b.

i know there is multple grammer mistakes sorry. also some of you problaly dont know of the cymbal explansion wich would add three cymbals and hence makeing it a more realstic set then guitar heros. and fret feel dosnt matter since guitars can be switched out same gos for drums. and that lag is not in the game it is the video. go by develobers not name. once again sorry for grammer mistakes. and set list is matter of opion i pefer rock band set list you problaly never used the perphials

KingCobra, wow, your points are so great. I don't really know how to argue with them. But I will. GHWT's instruments have been plagued with crosstalk and malfunctioning frets from DAY ONE. The instruments are good, but that means nothing when they DON'T WORK. The vocals system in GHWT is nearly broken, and has a stupid scoring system. The graphics in GH are cartoony and childish, as opposed to the mature, artsy, filtered REALISTIC look of RB.
