@PRINCEofPECICA bullshit. Ducati is like Lamborghini(more expensive, more eXotic), Aprilia is like Ferrari(less expensive, more casual) but despite the price, performance is comparable.
Its funny saying this, but BMW is value here. $16k tricked out will beat both these bikes and with a few mods like pipe, ecu, filter, and of course very sticky tires
its funny how the grand prix uses a 16.5 inch wheel beacause all the engineers and world class riders know they out perform the 17 inch, so this retard slapping on some 17's and saying its improved means, well, you dont know what your talking about. and more than bridgstone do a 16.5! you shud do some research before you do a review
I think the Ducati would eat the aprilia if it was ridden by pro racers. I think you gotta ride it way beyound what you think is the limits to even start to apreaciate it. Its a gp with lights for real, minus the ultra power.
@Dreadzedan Nope, I think your find its partically the fuel rule, stops it using what it could. Next year the new bikes won't be quicker than the old ones due to lastability rule and amount of fuel avaiable. Gp shall never be proper gp anymore. As long as its all fair, next year I hope to see Some improving races. lol
@arizotje You're right about the price but the fact is Karel Abraham is still using this bike today. So it ain't a bad bike for a fat bloke to have in his smelly garage
The desmo is designed to work on wide open moto gp type circuits. Suspension is rock hard and not ideal for street. But that said it has the desirability and exclusivity that even a Biaggi APRC rep can only dream of. Bang per buck the `prilla is a clear winner. Usuable on both track and road and gives you perhaps 90 percent of the ducati performance at 30 percent of the price.
@BeeeAitchPeee yea but the money you save you can upgrade the bike/ up hp a bit till it matches or exceeds the duc. and you probability will still save some money
I think all companies should make a MotoGp Replica! That would be epically amazing and fun to have a GP bike on the street. Ducati is very smart for making that move!
hope the desmo owner also changed the final drive ratio when he changed to a 17 in wheel, otherwise he might ruin the acceleration, and not to mention the balance of the whole bike
They are both incredible machines, especially as they are road bikes. I will never be able to afford the Desmosedici, but I love my RSV4 Factory and don't think I can ever go back to a Japanese inline four now!
well the ducati sure does have a better looking face. overall looks way better. but aprilia's streamlined tail is pretty cool.
