@no1reallycaresabout Leslie Tyfon A-200-156 Single chime "Honker" horn, Commonly found on F and E units, Larger Switchers ( like ALCO RS-1,RS-2,and RS-3 units) and many more!
or it is a WABCO (Westinghouse Air Brake COmpany) E-2 Single Chime "Honker" horn, Which was slightly less common, but could be found on smaller roads. These Sometimes made it to the Big Roads, but weren't as common as the Leslie A-200-156!
I'm going up through that area on a tuseday, probably between 7:00A.M.-9:00A.M. i'll be traveling on north avenue. will i be able to see the trains working at that time?
OK,that flagger shouldn't have to flag the crossing. The trains have the right-of-way, and cars should yield to the train or face the consequences (getting hit)....This just goes to show how easy it is to get a drivers license in the United States.
where was this video shot at? is this a local dock railroad for chicago? and, i am presuming that this is an unguarded crossing thats why the guy got off to wave the train on
Is it OK if I use the audio from this for my model railroad. Let me know if there's a problem. I'll remove it immediately.

Actually, its a Wabco Single note E2 style Horn. the Leslie A200s have a much more different pitch.

Now thats interesting. What time did you see that?
Andrewsaxamophone 3 years ago
This train usually runs every Tuesday and Thursday. Generally works all day. Watch for it up on Kingsbury street also.

It started running this January or Febuary. And it's actually a WABCO Single Note Horn.
LightMyFire92 4 years ago
A WABCO E2 is a single note horn.

The horn on that thing is awesome!

I think that horn is a Leslie Tyfon series A-200.

No, it's a really nice WABCO E2.

A few days after i posted that comment, i found out it was a WABCO E-2.

It's a nice horn. I've seen this engine a few times going into Chicago. It's usually next to a Union Pacific Geep.

This railroad is a streetrunning railroad that uses a lot of ex-MILW trackage.
LightMyFire92 4 years ago
They also have trackage rights on the UP (Ex CNW)
