  • this was my science fair project

  • what happens if you put your hand on the bottle?

  • She was smokin XD

  • Now how do you get it with science?

  • Wuz i the only 1 2 notice he blew on the same bottle she did? ( no wrong jokes plz)

  • i was really sure that her explanation was a bit incorrect its when the fire was lit it uses the air around it to stay lit so when you put the egg on it would suck the air to create a chain reaction to suck in the air

  • @101ichigo actually her explanation is correct.

  • Dammit Steve, I was supposed to go to bed 4 hours ago....

  • 3:30 - 4:06 close your eyes and listen XD

  • @macdadydoo hahaha thanks that made my day :]

  • i go back to college at september 9th because im british

  • pervs :P ... *.*

  • Giggidy.

  • in a few years, the girl's going to be like 'i did not just did what i did'

  • "Isn't that awesome?"

  • @Johndxboy no its perfect lmao

  • thats so cool

  • cool

  • egg smoke don't breath it

  • sweet this chick is my age now

  • 3:30 - around 4:00 XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD im dieing.-

  • Look up vacuum.... air is pushing the egg in. Low pressure in the bottle. High pressure outside of the bottle. Same with a straw... low pressure in the straw, high pressure pushes the soda into the straw.

  • you can also do it with just a match. ive seen it done were they light the match and then throw it in

  • he is so creepy

  • @kn1v3z2k Y?

  • @traviswrestles562 - The air volume is reduced because the fire uses up the oxygen in the air, the change in volume from the temperature change is comparatively small. And gases can't "pull" anything. It's always the air outside pushing things in.

  • mine stopped at 4:08

  • mine stopped at 4:08 thumbs up if it happened to you

  • I find it funny how so many people who didn't watch the whole video are saying "how do you get it out???" lol

  • @traviswrestles562 no as the air inside cools it de-preasurises so the air outside is greater and pushes the egg in. :D

  • isnt that just a vacum creating inside from the fire... like the fire uses oxygen to burn and the egg seals the air inflow so the air burns out creating a vacum and that what sucks the egg inside... please tell me if im wrong but i think thats how it works.

  • @MrKamilianuk - Vacuum doesn't suck anything. It's the air outside the bottle (at a higher pressure) that pushes the egg into the bottle.

If vacuum actually pulled things, you wouldn't need a straw to drink from a bottle, you could just suck the mouth of the bottle directly, and the drink would flow up into your mouth. The straw works because it lets you reduce the pressure inside while air from the atmosphere can still go *around* the drinking straw and push the drink into the straw.

  • @MrKamilianuk you are correct because if the fire is burning air molecuels then what replaces it?. and also the fire needs oxegen to burn otherwise the fire Burns out so the vacum dose not go on forever.

  • I did this at home an im nine

  • u wanna hear a joke?

    dont try this at home

  • you can it the egg?

  • Actually, it doesn't push the egg in the bottle. It pulls it.

  • and yet i still did it at home

  • I thing you could just kinda squish the water balloon in the juice bottle you dont need the paper burning.

  • now the trick is getting the egg back out

  • @itslaudy they did that

  • I did that in elementary school....

  • He talks way too fast

  • Life Is Good!

  • I'm doing this experiment at a science fair

  • y is this on the news again is it that important to understand how to put the egg in the bottle

  • very beautiful and smart girl! she is going to make a great tv actress or news reporter .....why not let her do the news with you all some night as a grade for school?? let her show her talent off some more.

  • life is good!! lol

  • that guys is annoying..

  • theres a little bit of fire so BE NERVOUS!!!!!

  • Wind pressure is fun! I did this last year in ESS... same with crushing a can without force :3

  • lol i love how he's describing it lmao

  • ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww the girl has ash on her lips lol

  • what you actuly do is you grab a candle or a match and drop it inside the bottle then you put the egg over top and it suckes it in it suckes it in because of the air molucules in side the bottle cauing the particles to expand witch will suck the egg inside the bottle once you want it out the air molucules have to be colder then they were when the egg got sucked inside the bottle tip it upside down blow real hard and it comes out.....

  • How do you get it out.. ?

  • 3:38 whats wrong with you man??

  • @bugzisfresh12 whats wrong with you?

  • Oh no! NASDAQ went down 35.54!!!

  • now how do you get it out?

  • *egg drops into the bottle * on no there goes my lunch * egg drops on the floor * well it looks good to me

  • Aaah, that´s the way they get milk in the bottle as well.

  • dose it work with plastic bottles?

  • god did it!

  • no its how god gets are organs in us

  • fast egg removal...one cup pop half mentos.turn upside down. Egg rocket!

  • we did this in our school

  • this wouldnt work in space because the fire creates lower pressure but in space theres a vacuum so theres no pressure

  • @speedster1101 have a think about what you said there.

  • Is that how they get the little ships in the bottle?

  • wtf is this crap

  • feel bad for the girl, got all that burnt paper in her mouth

  • How do you get it out??

  • @iSoMuchWin break the bottle. or put an ermine in the bottle to eat the egg, then it comes out of the bottle and the ermine defecates the remains of the egg.

  • yeah, HARDBOILED EGG. not an egg. there's a difference, you know. :)

  • I wonder just how sick Steve Spangler is of the "Do it at your friend's home" joke.

  • oohhh she likes fire shes my type and im in co to

  • that girls hott !!!!

  • i swear the principle is that the fire creates a vacuum from taking in oxygen for the fire to burn. the egg just gets sucked in from there.

  • God I hate when people say "really smart middle schooler". In science especially. Us kids are taught all of the math (along with english and history), but not how to use it, and think logically. Calculus is being taught in high schools everywhere, yet the average high-school grad couldn't design a SCUBA. Don't get me wrong I enjoy fun little things like this, but in real terms I thinks the standards are lame.

  • 10 second rule, joka

  • omg so many thats what she saids could be said

  • @MrCircle360 hahahaha I agree!!

  • Well fire burns oxygen, so when the egg created an air tight seal, the oxygen burned, and air pressure increased and created a vaccum thus sucking the egg in.

    I win ^^

  • @KoolKidKarl2k8 Oxygen burns? I don't think so... I get what you're trying to say, but as with the bell-jar experiment, everyone always says the flame uses up the oxygen creating a vacuum. When really it's just the heat expanding the air.

  • how do you get it out? o_O

  • lol i got back to school at aug 26

  • i did thes like 50 time

  • where r from

  • 10 second rule? i thought it was 5

  • OMG made me crave hard boiled eggs. Now I'm gunna have to go cook some

  • a lot cleaner experiment if alcohol is used instead of paper

  • i like my eggs feralized.

  • I remember doing this in 8th grade too! I was the only one who guessed that we needed a source of heat. Everybody said that the smoke would make the egg fall of, they did not know about the equilibrium and stuff. Or at least I think it was equilibrium that causes this.

  • tats awsome

  • Is it just me or does it seem like Steve drinks too much coffee?

  • #WIN

  • disturbing

  • man, i could go for a boiled egg, or maybe scramlbed eggs right now.

  • how can i get the egg out of the bottle??

  • @TheLizem98 Break it up by shaking the bottle really hard then washing it our with water.

  • @TheLizem98 watch the whole video and they show you......

  • no they build them in the bottle with long and thin tools.

  • @ambnem yeah, she has no clue what she's saying lol

  • How do you take the egg out?

  • @cloudcally

    u blow inside very had

  • that chick is hot.....the younger one.

  • Poor girl doesn't know what the frakk she's talking about.

  • steven spangler i cooooooooooooooool =)

  • yea it does

  • That's what I thought also.

  • Wasn't this experiment on Full House?

  • @bettyboop180 yea joey did it for the class....really sad I know that. XD

  • This is boiled right?

  • Yes, you can do it with a raw egg. Soak the raw egg in vinegar until the shell softens. It will become rubbery. (The calcium in the shell is acted upon by the acid.) The trick is to have a few eggs in a bowl. They will all look the same. Pick out the softened egg and do the trick. Then present the bowl of eggs to your viewers and ask them is they would like to try. Of course the egg will just sit there.

  • does somebody know if its possible to put a raw egg into a bottle?

i need to know it for school and i don't know how i should do it...

  • @bgirlnikky use your head...do u think you can warp the shape of an egg shell without breaking it? dont be stupid please

  • thats what she said!!! its stuck in there!!! lol hahahahaha

  • Lol, she put her mouth on the bottle, then he put his mouth on the same bottle!!!funie!

I did this when I was 10 by myself in da kitchen with a apple juice bottle!!

    This is very fun!!!!!

  • Is that how they get the little ships in the bottle?

  • No, I believe they collapse the and put it in the bottle, and then when the ship is in the bottle, they use tweezers and erect the ship again.

  • They build the ships while they are in the bottle.

  • @Ravs023 lol no what you do for that is you build it with the masts down and then have a tool to lift them when its in

  • @Ravs023 lol, no :P

  • @Ravs023 they put half of the bottle in the table make the ship in the bottle and close it with the other hand

  • @Ravs023 No They Build Them In The Bottle

  • @Ravs023 lol

  • @Ravs023 Small pieces of wood and tweasers, build it from the inside.

  • @Ravs023 no they build the ships inside the bottle with twessers

  • @Ravs023 no, the ships are in little peices and they get people who use tiny tools to put the peces together inside the bottle

  • @Ravs023 lol no

  • i did this at school today

  • That Girl is pretty Sweet =)

  • did you know by smelling the smell of smoke when u just light a match its like smoking 3 cigarettes.

  • Did you know that's WRONG? :P

  • thats not true cigs ahving none of the same chems as a match

  • it's a boiled egg.

  • I KNOW!!!

This trick would of been way more awesome if the egg was raw and still inside the shell...

  • cool, but is this a news show?

  • Man my teacher did this during class in seventh grade and i was just amazed cus i had no idea that this was possible!!! Amazing, man, i love Steve Spangler

  • this works with temperature and pressure relationships, not vacuums and burned air

  • wait why did this happen!

  • the fire burned up all the air in the bottle creating a vacuum which sucked the egg inside

  • @tacoman8200 ....so wrong....

  • @tacoman8200 DUDE,

How the hell will fire BURN up all the air ???????

    fire is combining with Oxygen

    PAPER will form CARBON DIOXIDE

how will vaccuum be created ??????

  • @tacoman8200 A vacuum full of smoke?

  • i did this in 7th grade, and won like 2nd place at district.haha good timess

  • is that egg boiled

  • yeaaah.

  • Im SOOOOO doing this for my Science Fair Project!!

  • that is sooooo cool
