not a big deal. no one should have to pay property taxes anyway. property taxes mean that you never own your property. instead, you have a perpetually transferable lease from the jurisdiction that claims to have the right to steal money from you in exchange for using that part of land.

I have to disagree with Cenk. Politicians, that after all are the ones that impose taxes, should make sure they have paid all taxes. It does not matter if these politicians agree with the tax. So in my book, Palin is a tax cheat. Now, for the rest of us who are just subjects to paying taxes, then I agree about waiting until the government points to our due taxes.

Property owners in every state are obligated to obtain permits before building which notifies the tax collector that you've made "improvements" which will affect your property tax rate. No mercy. How could you be a politician and not know this? Raw land and improved property have different tax rates. Period.

Keynesian economics is not about central planning. the idea behind keynesian theory is that central banks can be used to stimulate aggregate demand in times where natural market forces will not push the economy towards full equilibrium and full employment. Keynesian theory is best interpreted as a midpoint between capitalism and socialism. It certainly does not advocate central planning in the sense that you claim.

Progressives NEVER say that States have no rights. Instead, they just ignore the rights they have and interpret the 14th Amendment to explicitly give the Congress NEW powers that supersede state laws and nullify the 10th Amendment to the Constitution.
They then take tax money from the state citizens and use it to bribe &extort state officials into accepting Federal control along with Federal funding.
For evidence, simply wiki the 100+ Federal Alphabet agencies which regulate the states.

I would disagree with you this time. Property owners in every state are obligated to obtain permits before building which notifies the tax collector that you've made "improvements" which will affect your property tax rate. No mercy. How could you be a politician and not know this? Raw land and improved property have different tax rates. Period.

this is very minute, especially compared to to what most of Obama's cabinet owes and has gotten away with. I hate the left/right issue, but if they are making a big deal out of this, c'mon. She's not even a functioning member of government other than a propaganda child. look at what the leaders owe. Or better yet address the real issue like how property tax is the government charging you to rent your own land! or the illegal income tax!
