It doesn't look feasible in today's versions of the game. Combat flaps at 510kmh is a definite jam.

@saamohod Combat flaps take a few seconds to deploy. In that time you can see him either drop his speed or raise the flaps again quickly. I do it every time I fly the 190 in 4.09 HSFX or 4.10 unmodded. This is still a great and informative video for any student of deflection gunnery, even in 2011. Watch both his view tracking and the moment when he pulls the trigger -- often the FW190 pilot can't see the target at the right moment, he has to "time" when to shoot. Timing is everything.

which 190 do most people fly, I wanna learn how to. I usually use the one with only the 2 mg151/20s (A8 I think) because I assume the lose of weight from the MG/FFs makes it better speed and climb wise.

To be honost, if i were to fly a FW 190, it would ALWAYS be a Dora (FW 190 D9) Just because its one of the fastest aircraft out there. And weight doesn really contribut to speed all to much, more to turn rate and manouverabilty, but it doesnt really matter with the 190 because its turn rate is already shit. So, i normaly fly the D9 heh, long nosed, nice and fast. On par with the P-51 in my opinion.

Oh, and i say weight doesnt matter because, the P-47 weighs like 14k and is still faster then the Spitfires, which weigh like 6k

Best I've seen, I've seen some good pilots. FW is not the easiest plane-good weapons-witness video. Nice scissors, FW is good in roll, he knows how to use it. My favourite plane. Wish I could fly like him.

GoodKnight is one of the top pilots in IL2. Master for FW 190. FW 190 is not an easy plane to fly effective. Specialy A series.

Actually Skies of Valor is not "arcade settings" Its a "pretty much full settings" server with the only "arcadish" things being the external padlock views so people without TrackIR have a chance, and the ability to see the enemy plane icons at 1500m. Other then that its on realistic settings.... Skies of FIRE on the other hand lets you remove the cockpit so that is arcade mode imo :P

your kind of cheating by keeping the names of the planes up when i play i don't do that i reckon the bf109 is the best to fly i love to get up to 4000ft and put her into a stall and then at 2500ft get her out of the stall also flying it under low bridges i reckon the il2 sturmovik is the easiest to shot down but because i know were to hit them i can get them down in a short burst
