Criticisms of their (or anyone else's) 'technical' ability or lack of same are pointless. I've been playing for over 30 years and I could wipe the floor with these guys if it was just down to 'chops' (awful expression), but it's not. They're a great band and I've played the CD to death cos I love the songs.

Couldn't have said it better. I've introduced this band to classically trained musicians and they tend to criticize their live performances for faulty notes and out of tune violins.

However, at the end of the day, the wonderment of music is its creation, not its rendition.

This isn't their best performance of Mansard Roof. But watch the performance from Glasto 2008 (either) of them and you will see a big difference!!
