  • Simplest of instruments (a mud pot) delivering the most divine sound of music. Humble things in god's creations can be grand and all it takes is the perseverance and sincerity of us humans to achieve perfection. We salute Shri Vinayakram Vikku for the grand performance!

  • OMG ., what a groove., killer.,., these guys are Monsters (Read Masters)...

  • @nitinvirat7 Ahahahahaha !!! masters they are !!!

  • @nitinvirat7 ..yes its all the more impressive when you consider that they are able to totally groove this 5/4 time so effortlessly . Makes it seem like a really simple groove until we mortals try to play this odd time groove over this syncopated song -)))

  • @ultimategurumusic well i feel at der level ., it doesnt matter wether its 4/4, 5/4, 9/4, or wateva... dey can equalise everything to teen taal. Once tabla maestro pt sandeep das told me that every taal is teen taal. i am yet to understand it

  • @nitinvirat7 Yes I believe you are correct. In fact thats probably a key element of maestros ...when they can take any time, and play it effortlessly like teen tal. maybe thats what pandit sandeep das meant

  • @ultimategurumusic yeah may be, i cudnt understand anything out of it. :) ... too far to fly.......

  • @ultimategurumusic I think it is 5/8.

  • @yoursmusicaly . yes you are correct. 5/8 it is!

I probably heard it 10 times already.. Thank you for posting!

  • @sreedar1 ..thats amazing how well you have transcribed the konokol !! thanks for your interest. This song is our personal favorite too on the entire two disc DVD! unfortunately given its length we could only post an excerpt..the whole song is completely mind-blowing and the best shiv tandav ever rendered IMHO. The ending is particularly inspiring as well. What else would you expect when you have maestros like Vikkuji, Selva and Umashankar!!

Best wishes to you from UltimateGuruMusic
