its not common. it didn't get good reviews from critics when it came out in the US. i read somewhere that now the rights to the score is owned by an international company now, so its kinda up to them. they need to bring it back in english though! the music is absolutely gorgeous and so much better than the other dracula musical! you can only really get the german version, which is gorgeous as well, and could be helpful if you're learning german? ^_^;;;

You're quite right, this scene doesn't correspond with the book's rendition of events. But then this musical approaches the Mina/Dracula angle from an entirely different perspective than the book.

Most audiences, however, aren't interested in an accurate rendition of the book. The book: Mina recounts what she claims happened to her ... and it's pretty boring. People want to see the action in a show, and they also enjoy a sexual angle. And a show needs to sell ...

Just my opinion. :)

I've been looking around for info on this song. Apparently there have not been that many productions of Wildhorn's Dracula and most of them have not included this song (especially not in the duet format). So it is hard to find lyrics in either English or German.

What I did find were lyrics for this song (in English) from an album that was recorded by Wildhorn's wife. English and German don't translate easily, so I think the most that we can assume is that these singers are saying something close to the english lyrics(at least in meaning).
