  • can I wear the free's 2 with flat feet?

  • @Acuity414 I personally don't have flat feet, so it's hard for me to judge what would be comfortable for that. Sorry!

  • @Acuity414 yah, they're pretty flat soled.

  • Would these be good for box lacrosse?

  • @TheKeenan7 Maybe? Haha. I've never played box lacrosse, so I have no idea. All I know is they're good for running!

  • Would these be good for box lacrosse?

  • @TheKeenan7 Yea i play and theyre great

  • nice review! keep it up! im going to cop these shoes today!

  • @davidanthonyross I just picked these up earlier at Footlocker. Thanks so much for the recomendation! I've just finished running 3 miles in them, and they're awesome!

  • Nice shoes... Nice date to- u made this on my birthday last year bro... I'm glad u told me to try them on before i buy them or I may have ended up with the wrong size... I run track so I appreciate everything in this video

  • I'm going to be doing track at school soon, would these be a good choice as a running shoe?

  • @WhySoNick I think these shoes are an awesome choice for any running -- including track. Go for it and good luck!

  • How can you tell if these shoes are too big for you? How far do your toes have to be from the tip of the shoe? Do they have to be at the very end?

  • @thisgurl44 Haha, well, I guess if your foot slides around in the shoe, then they'd be too big?? And personally, I would not let my toes go to the very end, because as your run, your feet heat up and expand in size -- sometimes as much as a whole size -- so you need room to accommodate that. Maybe leave about 1/2" or so?

  • Can you do sprint workouts in these and still be comfortable?

  • @bently102 Oh, for sure. I have done a lot of sprint workouts (otherwise called repeats or intervals) in these shoes and was really pleased with the performance and comfort.

  • @davidanthonyross would you use these for casual wear??

  • First off nice video! I definitely was looking for a barefoot style shoe, and supporting livestrong is a bonus. I'm more of a forefoot striker do you know if the cushioning is sufficient? Again nice review. Be well!

  • Great review. i have some Five Fingers and regular running shoes and was looking for something in the middle. I ordered mine and waiting for them to come in the mail....I hope they are the right size since noone had them in my size in stock but they did have the size under mine and I need a little bigger.

  • WOuld thesse be good for parkour and everyday comfortable walking??

  • I recently got them.. and used them on insanity they seem to be working great very light!!! should i try another shoe instead?

  • Doing gym class next semester. we have gym 5x a week and we run a mile 2-3 times each class, the other times we play football or volleyball or something. would you count them worth it?

  • i wear size 10 and i went a half size up

  • Yes you wear socks with them?

  • @thenikefanatic I do wear socks, yes. I get blisters if I don't!

  • do you wear socks with these?

  • u sound like brian from family guy alittle lol good review

  • How do these compare to reebok zigtechs for general cross training?

  • @NDNguitarguy Haven't tried the Reeboks, so not sure.

  • should i wear socks in them as i run cuz im not sure what to do

  • could use use these for walking? i have a bad knee and the most i could do is walk, maybe jog. So would you say these are strictly a running shoe?

  • @MonkeyKing2378 I walk in them all them time!

  • can you use these as training shoes? for agility work, sprinting, etc.

  • @sjong21 Yeah, I certainly used them for that, along with distance running.

  • Where do you see these on nike.com. Ive been lookin for them and i cant find them

  • Are these available for Canadians?

  • @illricky You're better off asking Nike or a shoe site, rather than me. I'm just a runner.

  • Comment removed

  • Recommended for marathon running?

  • @roryarmstrong I don't see why not, as long as you train in the shoes for long distance. The longest I ran in these was a half marathon.

  • mine are a lighter gray than these.

  • do you recommend these shoes for a marathon (42K)??

  • @kingofthepowermetal I don't see why not, as long as you train in the shoes for long distance. The longest I ran in these was a half marathon.

  • Can you use these on track? (not dirt or dusty track, more like an asphalt surface)

  • I tried them on today and I'm buying them tomorrow. I wear a 7 1/2 a lot of times and the 7 1/2 in these fitted nicely. They're also really comfortable and look nice and neat on my feet. BUY THEM! LOL

  • I have the same ones. What do you do when you get little pebbles stuck between the crevices on the sole? Do you just leave them there?

  • @vaust5 It depends on how big and annoying the pebble is. Sometimes they work themselves free, but other times, if I can feel the pebble on every stride, I'll actually stop and pluck it loose. I discussed this very topic on my follow-up video, when talking about these shoes after 400 miles of use.

  • just got em really nice and airy and light

  • I buy today this shous to, very nice :)

  • Does it smell or bother you if you don't wear socks? Have you tried the Free 3.0 V3? I don't know witch to get...

  • @joshuatree1001 I always wear socks when I run, and I have not tried the 3.0s. Sorry I can't help!

  • how wide are they?

  • Can we order this if we're from Canada?

  • you think they will look good if i wear them with jeans?

  • -- Have you ever had the chance to try any Under Armour runners (specifically the Micro G Splits) if so, how did you like them? I'm debating between the Free Run 2's or the UA splits.

  • I want these!

  • i can't find these, where did you get yours?

  • @MIKEEEEYC As it says in the description, I ordered these from Nike's website. However, Livestrong changed the color scheme on these shoes, so I don't know where you will find this particular shoe now. Good luck!

  • these shoes for some reason inspire me to get in shape. lol

  • You sound like Dwight Schrute

  • Are these shoes good for simple sports at school (ex. A lil bit of basketba

  • Thanks but i actually got the lunarglides instead

  • Would they be any good for sport at school ?

  • Are they okay for casual wear? Like taking them to school and walking home with them?

  • @BSagitarius Yep!

  • Do the soles wear out quickly??

  • @zabob203 Since getting the shoes in April, I have logged over 300 miles and they're wearing as well as any other shoe I've had. I'll actually be retiring these shoes in a week, their final performance being a Half Marathon on Aug 21. They've been great!

  • Why are yours still so damn clean?! I barely wore mine for 2 weeks and the midsoles are all creased and stained

  • The free run + 2 Wt. is 9.4 oz. The Free runs weigh less at 8.2 oz.. But the much lighter but less durable shoe is the nike free 3.0 v3 but they tear apart in less than 3 months.

  • Can you post a link on where you bought them from because I couldn't find that modle on the nike website.

  • @thedrumbanger Looks like Nike/Livestrong changed the color scheme! YouTube won't allow me to post the link, but go to Nike's website, look under the LIVESTRONG collection, and click on shoes. You'll see them. They're now light grey with maroon laces. I can't believe they changed the shoes in a matter of months. You might try doing Nike ID and just customizing your own. Good luck!

  • Haven't seen this video before I bought freerun2. Very nice runningshoes! Just don't use this on trails...

  • nice. have you tried asics?

  • @MrYoda1972 That's one brand I have not yet tried, but they do have some really nice looking shoes. Maybe next year I'll try some out and see what I think. Have you had experience with them?

  • @davidanthonyross i owned a couple pair of asics (Nimbus 12 and the Enduro 6). my feet are more comfortable on asics than the nikes i've had before. im not saying nike shoes are not good, its just my feet. maybe i'll try nike's free run+2 in the near furture. i hope it would feel good this time.

  • wtf who is the one person who disliked this?? its awesome!!

  • @RonaldoTB7 I appreciate the support! Maybe they down-voted on accident? ;)

  • got them but im skeptical...lunar glide 3 or this...does the bottom of these rip/wear out easily? someone please answer im desperate to know

  • @123killerkoala are you running a lot? if so, go for the lunar glide 3. the free run 2 is not meant for a lot of heavy duty running

  • @Axl93 thnx i really appreciate it ill try to get the lunarglides since its for crosscountry :)

  • where did you buy them in that color? i cant find them anywhere

  • @SuperJmore Nike's website. It's certainly possible that they're out of stock, as I think they've been fairly popular.

  • The older pair of Free Runs you have did they last you a long while? Like they don't rip or lose grip real fast?

  • @1andyshore1 I honestly didn't have the old pair of Free Runs long enough to find out. They were a bit too tight on me, which is why I bought the Free Run 2s instead, and sold my old pair. But the new pair are holding up really well after 3 months and nearly 200 miles!

  • I had the first nike frees and i played bball in them sometimes. Its not going to be a good basketball shoe and u may hurt ur ankle playing in them but if ur just shooting by your self and not actualy playing in a game i think u can still shoot around in them.

  • how do you keep your shoes so clean? any cleaning tips?

  • @platoonutzeyz I don't keep them clean! I took the video after only having the shoes for a short period of time, remember. You should see them these days. Haha. But I suppose just a little water and a rag will do the trick.

  • Kool video U don't have to were socks ?? I just bought them today???

  • @hkfights1 I prefer socks, as I developed blisters when I attempted to run without them. But I guess it's a matter of personal preference.

  • haha I'm glad you said don't play basketball in them because I was really thinking about if I could or not. Excelent review, I'm going to buy these sometime this week. Too bad Nike doesn't have my size in the livestrong colorway. They look amazing.

  • 5:49 could be a commercial slogan :D

  • where did you get these from?

  • @rowlandsuperstar Nike's website

  • Nike Free+ 2 or LunarGlide+ 2 for road usage?

  • @KaPowProduction I haven't tried the LunarGlide, so I can't offer any comparisons. I use the Free Runs for every single run, over various surfaces -- even in the rain -- and so far I still love them. You can't go wrong with these shoes!

  • @davidanthonyross they are pretty light can't tell you how much :( they feel extremely comfortable and look like those water slippers. Take some time getting used to or its my weight first day I ran 4 miles on a treadmill and there was some burning under foot but the next day they felt great on my high schools track. They're probably more flexible than those free runs but just a little bit my foot wasn't used to it at first either

  • i have the free run 2

  • i have theese

  • finally, a review by an actual runner!

  • @Soymilllk Glad you enjoyed it! I have another 5K, 10K and a half marathon coming up in the next few months, and you can guarantee I'll be wearing my Free Runs!

  • For a shoe like this, I would get them in like a True-Fit size. (I.e 10=9.5-9)

  • Just bought some reebok real-flexes do you u could review or are they too similar

  • @launica99 Haven't tried the Reeboks, but I'd be curious what you think!

  • Comment removed

  • @emotzki Giveaway? What would I be giving away? My shoes?

  • hey just wondering can they be used as a everyday pair of joggers to kick footballs and stuff ,great if u could answer thanks

  • @Jazza1296 Sure, you could definitely wear these everyday.

  • what's the height of the heel? can you measure it, the thickness of the sole?

  • @krosser2123 It's just a little over 1".

  • i must tell this are great shoes

    real flexible and comfortable

my only concern is about how long will they last

i have a pair of nike pegasus for about a year and they are incredible durable

i train 6 times per week. maybe i should be using the freerun+2 about 2 times a week? what is your opinion about durability? thanks

  • @jolteon43 I have only had these since April, so I can't comment on long-term durability. Seems like the treads may wear down quickly, but I'd say the shoe should hold up for a year or so, under moderate training conditions.

  • Awesome video bre, I love the Nike free run plus 2's. Got a couple for the summer time.

  • How are these shoes for flat footed people? I am flat footed and intend on buying them for daily use.

  • @MultiSly21 Someone just asked this a few days ago, so scroll through the comments. Thanks!

  • Weren't they origionally made for free runners?

  • where do you live i'm going to go steal those

  • @turniptod12 Haha, you'll have to catch me first.

  • will you recommend i have a flat foot ??? thanks

  • @mesa003 The shoes have decent arch support, so if that helps you, these will be great. Otherwise, the insole can obviously be replaced if you need less support, so you do have options. I haven't heard feedback from anyone with flat feet, so it's tough to say whether or not these will be an ideal shoe. The one good thing is that these shoes will help build foot and ankle strength, which helps everyone. Sorry I couldn't give more advice!

  • Excellent Video. Its sad actually, I just told my bud i was gonna buy the Reeflex while he bought these. Now it looks like were gonna have the same shoes.

  • lol i noticed in every video review of these shoes everyone says" i hope the fabric registers" lol but thanks for the vid you sold me on these shoes man

  • Nice! I have the Nike Free Livestrong 1

But the new livestrongs are nice looking too

  • What was your 5K time?

  • @milepace I just ran another 5K yesterday and my time was 24:03. Not an elite runner by any stretch, but I'm certainly happy with my results!

  • have you tried the nike lunarglide +2?

  • @Jmf8337 I haven't tried those, but they look like they'd be a good shoe. I see a lot runners wearing them!

  • @davidanthonyross when you order them off Nike.com how long did it take to come in?

  • @96camaro38l If I recall, I think it was about a week or so.

  • Very good review

  • @Brainbow919 Yes, you could definitely use these as an every day shoe. I saw on Nike's site that they even make a walking shoe with this same design called Nike Free Walk.

  • do i need socks for these shoes since i heard it didn't?

  • @darkl0rds I always wear socks. I tried running without them once, and just ended up with blisters. The shoes are definitely snug, so thin socks tend to work best.

  • i really really love these shoes and hve the older one and am a 10.5, and i was going to get these but on nike.com they only have sizes 13, 14, and 15. where did you get yours from?

  • @mrGRA1276 I bought mine on Nike's website, but my local Nike store also had them in stock. You may want to try Finish Line, as they usually have them in stock. Good luck!

  • are these good for doing parkour in? please reply

  • @welshwizy I haven't used the shoes for anything other than running on courses, streets or treadmills, so I really can't say for sure. But my guess is if you wanted to use them for extreme urban trailing, these should hold up well. They don't offer a lot of support, mind you, but they're super light -- which you'll need.

  • awesome shoes shame they're so expensive here in the UK

  • Thanks for the review! These shoes are amaaaazing! I got the Livestrong model in women's; the colors are sick (silver and gold). I got them Saturday night and was super psyched to break them in on Sunday. I was scared that the change in shoe type would bring me pain and soreness, but they're super comfy, so I went ahead and ran 2 miles in them. Running in them just feels good. They're also super lightweight. Everyone should get them! I'm so excited about them that I have to run in them every si

  • great review !

  • hey bro i am pretty flat footed do you think these would be a problem?

  • @bonezilla7 They have a fairly prominent arch, so take that into consideration. If you're really on the fence, I'd say try them on first or order them from a site that has free return shipping.

  • how long would u think these soles would last for with about 5kms per week? thanks

  • @redviolin1231 I run an average of 20 miles per week and expect these shoes to last over a year, so you can expect them to last even longer if you use them for only 5K per week. Good luck!

  • I currently own the Free Run 2's but the arch support is a bit too pronounced for me since I am flat footed. I ordered the Kinvara's by Saucony and fell in love in them instantly! They are a bit lighter than the Free's. Plus, the heel-to-toe drop of the Kinvara's is 4mm compared to 7mm on the Free's. I'll probably stick with the Free's for treadmill work and the Kinvara's for pavement.

  • ofc you can use this shoe for every day use.... If someone use this at basket shoes... god , what an idiot.

  • I wear mizunos for xc/track but would these be fine for everyday wear

  • @sammcgee11 You could certainly wear these every day, but that would make for an expensive walking shoe! I think Nike even makes a "Free Walk" shoe, if you really want a walking shoe with that design. Check their website.

  • @davidanthonyross I'll check them out, thank man!

  • I do 20-25 miles a week and these are the best shoes ive ever put on. Epic!

  • how do these shoes work for actual free running?

everyones reviews are talking about just running marathons or track, but how do they withstand the extreme elements that are put forth in free running such as jumping off high obstacles and landing softly and being able to support the arch in the foot and the ball of the foot.

  • @YakShakedown That's a great question, but unfortunately I am unable to answer it! My primary use for these shoes is running, but I am thinking of incorporating these into my plyometric workouts (part of the P90X series), which involves a lot of jumping; granted, not to the effect you're seeking. If I do decide to take these "off road," I'll let you know!

  • @davidanthonyross alright sounds good. i think im still going to pick up a pair cuz im only a beginner in parkour and i feel they can get the job done. are the soles of the shoes thick or thin?

  • @YakShakedown The soles are about 1 1/4" thick at the heel, tapering down to about 1/2" at the toe, so they're comparable to most running shoes, but not as thin as, say, the Nike Free 3.0. Hope that helps!

  • @MattTheMonkeyMan Honestly, I haven't tested these in wet conditions. I usually run indoors on rainy days, so I can't really help out there. I'd say use the older Free Runs for now, just to be safe. You'd hate to ruin a new pair of shoes!

  • thx man

  • I was wondering how do you keep them so clean after running. How do you clean them if u even do so. plz respond asap. thx

  • @Antinprogress The first thing I do is de-rock these things. As great of a design as the sole is, it is a trap for small pebbles -- which you can sometimes feel as you run. So, a small twig or metal object to pop those out, is the first thing I do. As far as actual cleaning, I don't really bother too much, as they'll just get dirty again. Sometimes I take a dish rag with some soap and clean the white areas of the sole, but I don't usually wash the rest of the shoe. Just stay out of mud! ;)

  • would these be good for a 10K ?

    thanks David

  • @davroc1188 I run about 7 miles each time I go out, so yes, they'll definitely be good for a 10K. But as I mentioned, build up slowly or you may end up with some foot pain.

  • did you keep the insoles it came with in, the lady at the store i bought them forced me to get some cushioned insoles, and told me that I wouldnt be ok with those. was i hustled? the cushion almost made it feel like my heel was going to slip out because it raised my foot.

  • @JEROMEsquared I use the original insoles. It sounds like she was just trying to make an extra sale off of you! If you don't like the insoles she sold you, I wouldn't use them. But if you find they end up working for you, then it shouldn't affect the performance of the shoe any. Good luck!

  • @JEROMEsquared that happened to me last summer @foot locker. When I bought Nike Air Max they also pushed different insoles for my new sneakers Polysorb bySpenco. For being stupid I bought those insoles and they inserted them right away and threw out the original insoles. Later on I discovered that new insoles are VERY uncomfortable and it raised my heel and it was so hard on my back. It was like walking on high heels. I had to take them out and put back store brand insoles from Walmart..

  • I bought the all red ones! I love them. And footlocker has a deal going on spend 100 get 30 bucks off. So I picked out a 20 buck Nike shirt and my end price was only 86!

  • @ItsBenaWhile13 Wow, that's a sweet deal. Way better than what I paid! Hope you enjoy the shoes!

  • How much did these cost? I am thinking about getting a pair. And will the sole last a long time?

  • @ItsBenaWhile13 @ItsBenaWhile13 @ItsBenaWhile13 I picked them up for $90, but you could maybe find them cheaper if you look around. Finish Line has sales frequently, so maybe check them out. And the sole will last a long time (as long as any other shoe), but it really depends on your running schedule. If you run 10 miles per day on concrete, they won't last as long as if you run 3 miles every other day on a treadmill. But overall, they'll last well over a year will moderate to high usage.

  • Great review man! I just got these shoes yesterday and they're so light and comfy!

  • @worstMMBNplayer I appreciate the feedback! Just trying to spread my love of these shoes.
