Glipzik - The idea behind using secular music was to attract the attention of individuals not likely to tune in to a Gospel program and then interweave the Gospel and testimonies of various Christians. This is why Oral wanted an athletics program at the university so that Christian athletes could not only compete on an intercollegiate level but, when the opportunity came up, share their testimonies. This worked to a degree. On 3 occasions I was able to explain the plan of salvation in public.
