@annaktivist I was born in Southfield, MI, my parents go to a conservative shul more than 3 times a year. They are not that observant but like many Jews are dogmatic about passing down traditions. the rest of my relatives are mostly reformed. I do not want a Jewish girl and in case I ever have a son nobody is going to touch his sex organs.

@brianpadraic The issue of not being able to sacrifice animals (which was not done for the remission of sin, by the way) is also in the Torah. You will look in Hosea and see the Jews asking God "Our Temple has been destroyed what shall we do now for the sacrifices? God replies that the prayers of their lips will substitute for the bulls of sacrifice. Most of Torah is regarding everyday life and practices outside of the Temple. Some parts are dedicated to the Temple rituals, most of it isnt.

I have no problem with Jews as long as they realize they're probably not of Hebrew descent but Khazar converts and stop making themselves out to be the "chosen" people who get to kick out anyone else who lives on property they want, like the Zionists. Most Zionists are atheist, and to be "chosen" you have to keep your covenant with G-d. Israel is a secular government. If it wants to have a religious right to be there, it should go back to religious law, and treat other religious peoples equally.

ANYONE who converts to Judaism sincerely, becomes as though they were BORN THAT WAY, and there is no difference in them after their conversion from a born Jew. The Torah states in over 42 places not to oppress the convert in any way, and that born Jews are to love the convert even above themselves.Because the convert already has a Jewish soul, and has gone through difficulties(sometimes extremely) to come home where he belongs

And I agree with what I stated, in case you misread my first comment--converts and Jews whether the lineage is through the mother or not should all be treated equally, as well as the Arabs there (also part of the semitic people). Have you been to Israel, outside of Tel Abiv, and seen how they are treated there?

@SarahRachel59 Look, I actually respect the Judaist culture. In fact, I even celebrated Yom Kippur with my Jewfriend, and fasted 24 hours. And I did the whole apple and honey thing on the New Year. What I don't respect is the innate superiority complex that I've come across from Jews who think they are better than converted Jews and Gentiles. We're all from G-d, all for G-d, and no one has the right to take G-d's place in judgement. So judging by your views, you're one I would respect.

A converted jew is the same as a jew. In fact a converted jew is even more respectable. Even more, a non jew can be as righteous as a jew can be by observing the noachides laws for the purpose of G-d. Just like jews are expected to observe the laws of the tora for the purpose of G-d.

They would have gone back to whatever they were practicing before, at some point in their children or grandchildren's generations.
What Judaism ends up with, when sincere converts come in, is only more REAL Jews - people who have Jewish souls who only come home where they belong. This is why we are not to oppress them.

@truthb4liesalibies Genetic studies have been done on Ashkenazi Jews specifically to answer this Khazar crap that Jew-haters are constantly spouting. The results show that the vast majority of Ashkenazi Jews have no Khazar genetics whatsoever, but match Jews in the Middle East as well as even some Arabs there, and the opposite is true for some of the Arabs there who match Jewish genetics. As for those minority of Ashkenazi Jews who do show a very small percent of khazar in their genes, so what?

Chosen, in the Torah means chosen to bring the light of Torah to the world, it doesnt mean "better than everyone else" -this is an antisemetic meaning invented by Christianity, and it's not true. It simply means chosen to be the priests of the world, to bring the light of Torah to the world. EVERY JEW is therefore chosen at the moment of their birth or their conversion, just by being a Jew.

This does not negate their being chosen, but it does put a heavy burden on their soul for creating such a blemish within their soul, which will have to be rectified. As for treating other peoples equally, Muslims are on the highest court in the land, the Knesset, and Muslims are well represented in Israel

I strongly recommend you pick up the book To Become a Jew by Maurice Lamm. It's a great book and it's written from the Orthodox perspective.
