C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support

this will remove the ASL.dll error,

ur obviously running itunes 9.0.1 or above,

the official 3.0 firmware for you device.

redsn0w (Much better than purplera1n.

Your device.

Connect you device to your comp and shift click restore in itunes and install the 3.0 firmware for you device. Then use redsn0w to jailbreak it ;)

I have the same exact phone...3GS... I jailbroke and unlocked it last night to use with t-mobile USA. Everything worked fine, except a few hours later, the speaker just stopped working. I hear sound through the headphone, but nothing through the speaker. I tried inserting the headphone in and out of the jack several times like some people suggested, didn't work. I blew air into it, didn't work. I even restored the original factory setting, didn't work either. Anyone had this problem?

well if its stuck at recoverymode i think you should continue the proccess with redsn0w, (its another jailbreaking program for the 3gs by DEVteam) since redsnow requires you to have the iphone in recovery mode
