@video47 There are no automatic announcements on approach to the station - there is a generic "Llanfaipwll, Bodorgan, Ty-Croes, Rhosneigr and Valley are request stops. Please ensure you tell the conductor where you wish to alight" after Chester, Rhyl, LDJ and Bangor. Interestingly, the auto anno at Shrewsbury says Llanfair PG.

Yes it is a noticably short platform, I believe it is the temporary platform left in place after the Britannia Bridge fire which re-opened it after Dr Beaching closed it many years ago.
