While there were the usually nostalgia-fanatics, some who watch the network a few years ago want the "old Disney" back, which they define as Hannah, Sonny, JONAS, and Suite Life. You were right about how someday, the kids of today will be nostalgic about these shows.

Is it just me, or are the ways of most movie/TV studios balancing the scale more towards quantity than quality? Just why is Disney overmarketing Hannah Montana, Jonas Bros, High School Musical, etc.? From my understanding, Hannah Montana only has a 5.1 average rating on IMDb. It proves that the quantity of merchandising overbalances the quality of the show itself.

Until now! I was watching America's Funniest Home Videos on ABC Family just recently and I surprisingly found out that Snow White is going to air on that network.
I miss the old Disney animation... I don't like how there's so much animated stuff... Though I do like Toy Story and that's a Pixar animated one. The good Disney was very good. The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan, Robin Hood, etc. And like, Eddie Murphy is so awesome and funny. XD Wall-E was boring though, and some other movies weren't that great either like Meet the Robinsons, Flushed Away, Ratatouile, and so on. Not sure about The Incredibles and I sort of liked Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc.

But Care Bears is still a non-Disney program. Even though Disney had the rights to some of the shows made by Dic Entertainment, it's still a non-Disney show, because the Walt Disney company didn't actually make it. The Disney Channel was a dedication to Walt Disney, yes that's true. But along the way, they still aired some non-Disney-like shows.

You forgot the most important thing of all Disney Channel, Vault Disney. My god...Most of TV nowadays are going downhill.
Vault Disney was a late night block that airs all the old Disney programing such as Disneyland Anthology series, Mickey Mouse Club, and Zorro. They stopped airing that in 2004 or 2003.
Right now, TV sucks nowadays. Where in God's name is TV when you watch it with family. :( :( :(

I'm not into Hannah Montana or High School Musical either, but I'm luckily wise and mature enough not to make death threats toward them because I wouldn't want to upset their fans. Is it just me, or are the ways of most movie/TV studios balancing the scale more towards quantity than quality? Just why is Disney overmarketing Hannah Montana, Jonas Bros, High School Musical, etc.? From my understanding, Hannah Montana only has a 5.1 average rating on IMDb. It proves that the quantity of merchandising overbalances the quality of the show itself.

I miss the old Disney animation... I don't like how there's so much animated stuff... Though I do like Toy Story and that's a Pixar animated one. The good Disney was very good. The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan, Robin Hood, etc. And like, Eddie Murphy is so awesome and funny. XD Wall-E was boring though, and some other movies weren't that great either like Meet the Robinsons, Flushed Away, Ratatouile, and so on. Not sure about The Incredibles and I sort of liked Finding Nemo and Monsters Inc.

But Care Bears is still a non-Disney program. Even though Disney had the rights to some of the shows made by Dic Entertainment, it's still a non-Disney show, because the Walt Disney company didn't actually make it. The Disney Channel was a dedication to Walt Disney, yes that's true. But along the way, they still aired some non-Disney-like shows.

You forgot the most important thing of all Disney Channel, Vault Disney. My god...Most of TV nowadays are going downhill.
Vault Disney was a late night block that airs all the old Disney programing such as Disneyland Anthology series, Mickey Mouse Club, and Zorro. They stopped airing that in 2004 or 2003.
Right now, TV sucks nowadays. Where in God's name is TV when you watch it with family. :( :( :(

I totally agree with this. I'm not into Hannah Montana or High School Musical either, but I'm luckily wise and mature enough not to make death threats toward them because I wouldn't want to upset their fans. In fact, I remember when I used to be a huge Spice Girls fan in my early tween years, just like some of today's tween girls are into Hannah Montana, so I do agree with you that the bands featured on Disney Channel were somewhat similar to some of yesterday's bands.
