I wanted to ask this, and I hope no one gets somehow offended by this. But are there more people like me here who only listen to this because it's a good music. And have no religious reason behind it at all? Because in some of his songs the religous part scares me. Then I feel conflicted, because I love the music. But I would feel uncomfortable to meet the person who sings the song.

@rutger5000 this music is indeed, incredible to listen to. the depth of the voice, the melody, the harmony, all of it. Not just some religious crackpot singing a song praising some mythical god. But, what makes it truly awesome, is the Love that the artist puts into it, because, he truly believes what and Who he's singing about. Understand there is a God that loves you, for you, and in spite of you, and really wants to be part of your life. open your heart, you'll experience it at a anotherlevel

The words are totally true, and I love how you can hear the passion and love for God apparent in the way Elefante sings this. The whole "Corridors" CD is terrific, I highly recommend the whole thing.

I am a Christian, and I do not like most "contemporary Christian" music. I think John was wonderful in Kansas. My wife often mentions that she thinks the members of Kansas could be Christians, because some of their lyrics are deep & Christian-sounding (for lack of a better description). I realy like this song, but one that really touches me, lyrically & musically, is "Pass the Flame".
Yeah Pass the Flame is one of my favorite songs. "For now just let me hold you, let me adore you while you sleep". That's really a great song. Kansas is indeed a truly great band. I discovered John Elefante trough Kansas.
The Christainity (hope that's a word) does affect me though. I think it's really great that someone can bring tribut to their religion like that. I wish I could do the same.
Well, we all are not composers & singers. We all have different abillities & gifts. I can belt out some volume, but I cannot sing on key. That is pitiful to hear! LOL!
