I remember when he fought a 43 y/o Hopkins in 2008 and he couldnt make middleweight anymore (the fight was at a catch weight of 170!) but when he lost to the old man, he stayed @ 160 (to this date) because he is scared of supermiddleweights like Dirrell, Ward, Abraham, Froch, Kessler or even an old but always game Glen Johnson. Did I mention Bute? Kelly Pavlik is GARBAGE!! Im so glad he lost to little Sergio Martinez too, ha ha ha!!

It should happen, but maybe not for a while. Arum is taking a hard stance that Williams is not deserving of an even split. He's already planning to have Pavlik fight Winky this fall, which would rule out any possible fight in 2010. Arum is banking that Pavlik KO's opponents (Martinez and WInky) that Paul could only decision - ala Pacquiao and Mayweather. Pac did the same thing to Oscar and Hatton (though Floyd did KO Hatton. Pac did it much faster.) Arum will use that as leverage to deny 50/50.

I'd like Kelly to vacate the titles. PWill and Martinez can fight for it on Dec, and Kelly can take all the time necessary for recovery and step right in contention for it. simple as that, the ABC's need to vacate the belt.
