I opened the 1TB version and it was equipped with a 7200RPM-32MB disk. It was on sale for €69 and buying the disk separately was €99.95. It seems Hitachi is using normal drive in their external ones instead of WD which has green discs.
I'm considering buying this disk 2 and opening it.
Smart man, I've been telling people to buy external and rip the internal drive out. And screw HDD manufacturers for artificially keeping prices high after resuming production.

In the left down corner, there is small hole with the picture od lock. What is it for ? Perhaps for screwdriver ? It seems to me - to hard to open.
