  • Interesting upload. A few years ago I stated a similar point when die hard Star Wars fans criticised Joss Whedon for basing Firefly's Captain Reynolds on Han Solo.

I commented on how they found it morally acceptable for Mr. Lucas to sully the bravery of those real pilots involved in Dambusters and the Battle of Britain, yet they found it unacceptable of Joss Whedon to turn Lucas's Han Solo cardboard cut-out into fully fleshed out three dimensional fictional Captain in Firefly.

  • The Deathstar attack is lifted pretty much exactly from 633 Squadron you don't really need any of the Dambusters,

  • wicked how it just....works!

  • Superb!! I noticed this as a teenager (many years ago!) and was amazed that nobody had ever really commented on the fact that Lucas had lifted the entire scene from the Dambusters. Great work on the editing and titles. If I recall correctly didn't Lucas also lift most of the opening scene of the AT AT Walkers from the film Battle of the Bulge?

  • Its true... the entire scene was copied by lucas.

  • length of video 6:33
