  • @clippertea yeah I agree. I'm amazed how many features lacking from the mpc1000 basic os that were available on my old s2000. Couldn't believe it doesn't come with keygroups as standard.

  • @milpen75 and this is why we should not support Akai pro. they are surviving off an incomplete legacy.

  • @clipperteaPlaying guitar might also be considered "behind the times", since I can emulate that with a computer, but I'm certainly not giving that up anytime soon. The only thing that pissed me off about the MPC was the lack of ADSR. That exclusion prevented me from truly loving the MPC. With the JJOS, use the MPC in addition to an 18trkHD multitracker & a room full of synths. With that combo, I have little need for a computer aside from transferring my music for mastering & to the internet.

  • which mpc is that, in which u have a visual sequencer... i didnt know there was that possibility in the mpc family

  • Thats true! But remeber that the MPC original did stand for Midi Productio Center. The sequencer has been upgradet big time in the last machines. But JJOS takes this machine from a regular drum machine and makes into a Music Production Center (which MPC stands for now ;-) )

  • sure - but some people have more use for the unique stuff the MPC offers than the features you mentioned.

  • sup Nym good shit.

u said you took that project from a keyboard. how do u do that and then put it onto ur mpc and have the pads play it as if it was a midi keyboard controller itself?

ive been wondering how to do that for some time.

  • could you be more specific? i don't understand the question.

  • i guess the question is, how do extract an entire set of keys. for instance. if i go to my electric keyboard and hit 112, it'll load an electric bass. how can i get all of those keys (up to 64 anyways [16pads X 4banks]).

Basically I want to assing like Middle C of the Electric Bass to pad 10, and B to 9, D to 11. etc. see what i mean?

  • thanks man this is dope

  • Great stuff once again! If no one else is paying attention; I am...

  • damn look at that mpc file browsing speed, such confidence and authority!

  • Yes, I really enjoyed this! Nice work man! ~Vince
