Circumcision was meant to be a covenant that resulted in eternal success and abundance for the Jews. Looking at history I don't think this has worked. God promised them land. @endofscene Well you are right. The Land Covenant was the original covenant. It was replaced by the Blood Covenant of circumcision.

Also worth noting is that Abraham was promised MATERIAL WEALTH for compliance, not spiritual wealth. Some claim circumcision also "elevates" men and connects them to god, but notice this disparty: woman in Judaism can't really connect to god, there is no spiritual place for them.

Since you are such an advocate of circumcision you might be interested in the Jewish perspective on the difference. Just Google "jewish penis is better than christian penis" and you'll find an essay from about 700 years ago (!) by Jedaiah.

He has very specific criticism of the intact penis and benefits of being circumcised. It is remarkable.

I feel the discussion about circumcision was troubling to me. It felt as though Michael felt it was okay for parents to choose ANYTHING for their kids - to even mutilate their children - regardless of what reason they had for that mutilation.
