Another detail - Shadow. On the photo is drops down from the cottages towards the trees, but on your painting it is from the trees towards the cottages.
One detail, I noticed that the window (just above the lower roof) appears to to closed on your painting, though on photograph it is open. Was this changed on purpose?
This is amazing, you're so talented!! :) This video was very helpful.
May I ask what brand of watercolors you're using? I'm about to buy some new ones since there isn't so much left of those I have.. and I'm planning to buy some good watercolors :) I would be very glad if you would respond
@Natalieandersson Hi there, Geoff uses the SAA's very own brand of artist quality watercolours. They are available from the SAA website...thanks for watching!
You have so inspired me. Your work is just beautiful. I have just retired and am taking an introduction to watercolor. Thank you so much for sharing your talents. I am looking forward to more of your work.
I love the scenes that Geoff paints...and he helps to make painting a whole world easier with these demonstrations and his easy to follow instructions...thank you !!!
breathtakingly good and u made it look so easy thank you i have had numerous art teachers and most of them cannot draw or paint they just go on about stuff thats not really relevant they never give techniques god bless you tube and the drawing and painting channel
Excellent lesson, you are very talented. I am putting together a semi-monthly newsletter to art lovers and would like to give you information about how you can be involved in this effort to assist fine artists sell more of their art. I can be contacted at royster.bonnie@gmail.com.
@kimmobey The subtitles are automatically generated by Youtube using (very bad!) speech recognition software...I guess Geoff's accent is too much for it to handle.
Hello! I like too much this videos, cause I've learnt a lot with them and painting is one of my favourite hobbies. Also i have to add that you are a wonderful teacher and here from Spain i just wanted to say you Thank you! and i will continue painting with your lessons !! =)

Thank-you for your detailed video. Most of the watercolor videos I have seen don't show the mixing of the paints (very important!)- you showed it with great detail both verbal and with the camera views. Very well done! . Now I need to see if I can find the first step in your series... Thank you, sydleeful
Stunning, a beautiful work. I can only at my begginner stage dream and drool, but one day..............who knows. Thanks for the great series, I'll watch this several times again to learn and copy!
He makes it look so, so easy and like anyone could do it but I just know mine would look like a five year old going ape with the finger paints! Very relaxing to watch :D
I've been in Geoffs studio in Derbyshire . It contains lots of other fantastic paintings for sale. He makes painting look so easy ( we all know it's not ). Great bloke and brilliant artist . Thanks Geoff.

Galleries should not just show the finished product, but also the creation process as it is just as fascinating and inspiring.
By the way wonderful, use of simplification and washes. especially with your greenery.
