  • Another detail - Shadow. On the photo is drops down from the cottages towards the trees, but on your painting it is from the trees towards the cottages.

  • One detail, I noticed that the window (just above the lower roof) appears to to closed on your painting, though on photograph it is open. Was this changed on purpose?

  • awesome video :D thanks~

  • Hi! Is that a Holbein palette that he's using?

  • @RichardHuanteDesign It's based on a Holbein palette, but it's a plastic version.

  • This is amazing, you're so talented!! :) This video was very helpful.

May I ask what brand of watercolors you're using? I'm about to buy some new ones since there isn't so much left of those I have.. and I'm planning to buy some good watercolors :) I would be very glad if you would respond

  • A really good demo but what on EARTH is up with the bizarre sub-titles?

  • @kimmobey The subtitles are automatically generated by Youtube using (very bad!) speech recognition software...I guess Geoff's accent is too much for it to handle.

  • more detail on the roof shingles would make it more look like a roof nice rendering though :)

  • Galleries should not just show the finished product, but also the creation process as it is just as fascinating and inspiring.

By the way wonderful, use of simplification and washes. especially with your greenery.

  • Brill. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this skilled artist show us how it's done properly.

  • Thank-you for your detailed video. Most of the watercolor videos I have seen don't show the mixing of the paints (very important!)- you showed it with great detail both verbal and with the camera views. Very well done! . Now I need to see if I can find the first step in your series... Thank you, sydleeful

  • an example of why computers are still far from replacing entirely physical media
