@whoopiewhoopable Avtually, it is a triology, defined by Cassie Clare. She says that City of Bones, City of Ashes and City of Glass make up one triology, and than City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls and City of Heavenly Fire are another triology-sequel. It´s like a spin-off, you know? ´Cause the star in the first triology is Clary, and in the second one, Simon is the star. So... yeah. And even the names make sense and show the difference:

@whoopiewhoopable In the first triology, the name has the "City of..." and a material (what is it made of - bones, ashes and glass ), and the second one is "City of..." and what lives in it (fallen angels, lost souls and heavenly fire). So yeah. As Cassie said, they are two separated triologies connected to each other :)
