:) this made me feel better. Work sucked ass today and my views are similar to yours. It's frustrating when no one knows where you're coming from. So THANK you for this video :)
@MensRifleAssociation Give that spare change to the poor - you know, the people who do real work to pay real bills. Drive outside your gated community and look for em - they're there. :)
Now of course you could argue that wealthier rich is also not the greatest for the average persons life either and to that I would agree. However to think that average person will get wealthier because the government gets bigger is a bit unreal imo. Two types of crisis 1. one that is real and caused by an accident 2. one that is created and caused by confusion. Right now it seems we have both but I think the confusion part is the far bigger of it. Confusion tends to fix it's self with time.
@magpiesmn you are right about todays government because it is run by the rich, the politicians are all rich they are definitely not doing what the government should do. Thats why you need to put responsible people in government and a fair mechanism to do that. Its not about making everyone else wealthier its about putting the extra generated surplus to good use for all. So instead of building a villa you build a public park and library which benefits everyone and enriches your life.
Do we really have this much faith in the government? To think that they would not spend/borrow even worse if they had more money? I really think your trust in the government is admirable but from what I have seen bigger government does not equate to better lives for the average person.
I will respond to Nick's video as soon as I have energy to do so. 13 hour days, 5 days a week... at my end. I'm not complaining per se, but that's my reality for the time being. I'm part of the masses, who Nick talks about. I don't have any problem with a bunch of rich motherf*ckers doing their own thing, I could care less. It's not a jealousy thing on my part. But there is no reason whatsoever, why people cannot have basic survival standards, period. I will make a vid response soon.
@55ella2007k >>> I don't have a problem with your 'style' of delivery whatsoever. All of this is completely besides the point. We've got plenty of diplomats couching mayhem and murder and polite language all the time. Sometimes, this can be helpful, in order not increase hostile responses, but it also involves a whole lot of hypocrisy and lies.
this is why the rich assholes at the top get away with robbing and cheating the people, because of people like nick who are conditioned to defend system that enables them to rob us.
People wouldn't feel like they were suffering as much if they were constantly on drugs, so should everybody be forced on drugs to reduce suffering in the world?
And I'm not rich at all by american standards. Maybe international standards, but you would be considered rich by those standards also. You say your pro democracy, but what you talk about would require very invasive government. A food crisis approaches america and a few months ago obama signed a law that makes it illegal for a home owner to collect water and use it for gardens. You want to give this entity more power. I think it needs less.
@FreeMarketHippie Having a "very invasive government" has nothing to do with what Gary is arguing, and does *not* violate the principle of democracy. Your argument about what Obama did has absolutely nothing to do with what he's talking about. I see your name is FreeMarketHippie and based on that fact and your youtube channel you might want to consider laying off of the drugs because really your thinking seems to be affected.
7:03 thats scary talk gary. Shouldn't parents have a right to raise their children? They don't own the kids? So who raises the kids? The state? This kind of reminds me of the gnostics of ancient greece I think. Some of them believed people shouldn't be able to know who their families are. Basically you're saying if i had a family airloom and wanted to pass it to my kid, I would have to get the states permission. You may say this is nonsense, but for what you talk gov would have to know all.
@FreeMarketHippie Gary makes the argument that people should not be allowed to inherit large gobs of an economy, especially income-gaining wealth, merely because of who they're born to. I don't see how you extrapolate from that any assertion that the parents "don't own the kids" or anything about "who raises the kids". The government does not "have to know all" in order to implement a mechanism to defend against economy-damaging nepotistic inheritance, and it would not rid of *all* airlooms.
He isn't MoneyMystic for nothing. But at least he's honest - not calling himself MoneyReason, MoneyLogic, nor MoneySense, for instance. . . .

To be "fair" regarding his response to my comment, I did appreciate it, and think it will help me in future communications regarding all topics.
I took it as, what use are my efforts at communication, if I present my position in a way that leads others to ignore or misunderstand me.
