I think the video brings up the point that there are several interconnected but separate issues at stake here. People have trouble disengaing their own feelings and assessing each one. For example I agree that the burqa is an unnessesary security issue, there is no way that I would have been allowed to cover my face on my passport photo (nooo way!), but they should be allowed to dress modestly according to their own cultural tradition.

I'm sure there are a lot of good citizens who follow Islam in Sydney, but I have heard of all the gangs that are growing because of immigration, which was the cause of the Cronulla riots. That is not the only problem that makes Sydney a bad place to live, there is also lots of school bullying, drugs and homelessness.

I think the video brings up the point that there are several interconnected but separate issues at stake here. People have trouble disengaing their own feelings and assessing each one. For example I agree that the burqa is an unnessesary security issue, there is no way that I would have been allowed to cover my face on my passport photo (nooo way!), but they should be allowed to dress modestly according to their own cultural tradition.

Fyi, head ware and long protective clothing was originally worn to protect their bodies from the harsh climate and sand. Before Muhammad demanded it in the Qur'an, It was never compulsory to wear any particular style of clothing in any society. Nuns wear a veil to emulate the Virgin Mary only - who has nothing to do with Islam.

This is why appalling behaviour in Europe and USA is being taken in public streets without so-called "peaceful" muslims acting to stop it. Other religions are banned and practicing your faith will gets you expelled.
