  • Eddie delivers perhaps the most perfect tribute to a near perfect song that did not get the mainstream attention it so deserves! Amazing song.....very fitting tribute!

  • he ripped it. amazing!

  • This song needs to a be a hit; be more recognized. It's amazing

  • 4:40... 6 chin. hahaha

  • Mother Love Bone Ft. Eddie Vedder :)

  • @MrManslaughter21 I think I know what you mean by that:)

  • Makes me wanna cry. @kurtsmommy, it give me chills too.

  • @CecisAndrade Dude!! I came here to write the same thing. It gives me chills after finding out the story behind it. Only a true human can feel these kinds of vibes.

  • The reason he knows Andy would have loved it.Is because Andy was sittin on his shoulder during this performance.

  • The ONE person that disliked this has absolutely no taste for true, raw music. And probably has no soul either.

  • Gives me chills too!!

  • gives me chills :)

  • chloe dont know bettahh

  • Eddie looks like a Dad

  • Que voz que tiene el hijo de mil........

  • "andy would've love it here" makes me cry everytime

  • No mother love bone = no 90s rock from seattle. Andy wood was an extremely talented man.

  • How can somebody ask why do I prefer rock?

    This is fucking real music!!

  • Chills!!

  • ...mother love bone....

  • Beautiful.

  • Beautiful as the story behind it.

  • Eddies rendition, sounds better IMO.

  • @seans63lemansSD Different, maybe, who knows. They're both fantastic.

  • @waverlymike No disagreement from me!

  • @seans63lemansSD Regardless, finally able to see TWENTY not in a theater. The woman is out. I'm almost done with a 12'er. Playing along on the acoustic. One of the best things ever.

  • Check the "tree", many came and went from Skin Yard through Melvins, MLB,Malfunkshun, Green River, Soundgarden (pretty sure Matt Cameron played in a few of these bands, which led to SoundGarden where he played as well...)... some/most of which intertwined deeply.... At one point or another they all interacted and played in one group or another.... ;) Unless you were in one of those groups, I'll point you to that "Tree"! Thanks for the video posting! Love the "old" music...

  • i love the way he does this song...great tune, you can't go wrong with it.

  • Agreed, Beatles are one of the many bands that started it!

  • keep in mind, MLB created PJ, SoundGarden etc....

  • @phishinsky and the beatles created all

  • @phishinsky not Soundgarden, same circles, different groups

  • @JohnnyToothless Word, they were friends with CC but only PJ came from MLB.

  • Perfect!!!

  • mother love bone live , andrew wood live

  • @adrianbeans huh? purty sure its pearl jam live buddy, but I wish it was Mother Love Bone. Too bad Andy passed far too early. im glad to see people dont forget about him or his music.

  • @tiemyshoes92 It's horrible that he died so young, but in terms of music taste I'd prefer Pearl Jam to be around than Mother Love Bone, though they were good.

  • I have the video, it was NY 2003 madison square garden

  • Classic, one of my most prized favorite songs ever. The movie Singles made me fall inlove with my husband cuz he had great taste in music. And it was a sad love story..This sounds amazing.

  • amazing night to be at the Garden...

  • Pretty sure it was 2000.

  • what year was this?

  • Filmed in New York City's Madison Square Garden on July 8, 2003

  • @jajajavi75 thanks

  • @taypax get the dvd Pearl Jam Live at The Garden... its Brilliant !!

  • @mattogigs thanks man, i'll check it out

  • I dated someone back in the day who LOVED Mother Love Bone.... needless to say, this song has stuck with me for the last 20+ years. Such a great thing to see Pearl Jam cover it .... and they did it GREAT!!

  • "i wanna tell you that i love her (you), but does it really matter?

i just can't stand to see you dragging down again, again, again..."

  • i was inspired to listen to this tribute\cover of Mother Love Bones ''Crown of Thorns'' after discovering their song ''Man of Golden Words''which inspired me to write, love and appreciate music more than I already do.If you appreciate music and lyrics you should check it out.Music truly is a Higher Power and gift to us all.

  • great, thanks for posting. fun night!!

  • I am speechless... fuck that sound, the intensity, the loss of it represents FUCK I'm forever changed... Thank You

  • Bad ass!!!

  • Sem duvida, mesmo a musica não sendo deles, uma das melhores bandas do mundo!! Quer em conjunto, quer individualmente.
