@basswulfwhisky Thanks!!! It is a Squire Jazz that looks very similar to the 60's bass...and thats why I bought it.....the original neck was very weak so I bought a good neck on ebay and had to drill the holes myself for the tuners and the bolt lockdown plate....yes it is a Badass Bridge II... I still need to buy a Fender sticker for the head stock someday soon...
yeah I started playin it yesterday actually need a few more run throughs...dude Ed King is the man...I really don't think people know how much he added to Skynyrd beyond SHA...Ed King is a hero to me....
Clay all I can say is wow....that's very humbling to read that...I'm speechless.. I do miss Thumper very much...he is a big hero to me...what a cool cat that dude was...truly missed very much..
Well you got me. I never heard of that one, I don't think. I was thinking of Travelin Man, Crossroads, T for Texas & Comin Home. All on One more for the road except Comin Home. I don't know what that was on.
ahhh you got me too lol....woman of mine was played at a PR party for a bunch of execs from various record labels...beleive it was recorded on a 8 track board at the convention room..
Comin Home is my all time favorite...what Ed King did to that song is amazing..it was recorded on the first and last album ...that one song is in a book all by itself...
Indeed. I love Comin Home. It's on First & Last but it's a live track, right. Cause I don't have First & Last anymore, I don't think. I'll have to look. Have you ever heard One In The SUn done by Steve before he got with Skynyrd?
Yeah & when I heard it my heart dropped & the tears fell because I knew this was what we had been cheated out of. I found an album(vinyl) of Johnny about 1980 with a cover of "A day in the Life" & I went absolutely bizzerk. I thought "Why am I doing without any Lynyrd Skynyrd R&R with this dude alive?" Right after that Rossington Collins came out which calmed the savage beast temporarily. But it was a blessed blissful day at the Helldogger hooch when they came out with 1"991".
Bass sounds great! Where did you get that shirt?

Is that a 60's reissue Fender with a badass bridge or a knockoff? Either way it's a very nice looking bass.
