Why i do miss the 80's so so much i had fuck all and mean nothing.
but always remember watching television shows like it was the highlight of night with jelly and ice cream on Sundays for bullseye straight after taping the top 40. :-)
In America we had a verison of Bullseye with host of Jim Lang. There was 3 big circle montiors in the up front game oringaly u had to bank $1000 or more($2000 or more) by answering questions at diffent amounts of money($50-$150)later ($150-$300), the first 2 windows was the catoryies you play the bottom window was the conrtact(number of questions u must answer 1-5 and a bullseye(later 2-5 and bullseye). in the bonus round if you get 3 bullseyes you win but beware of the lighting.
Nice video but Im struggling to think how Art Attack is actually a game show because I used to watch it when I was a kid because it was still on during most of the 90s
Ahhh... Bullseye.... loved the show, but there were problems... it was on sunday... very depressing because I had to do homework after before going back to school... and... nothing like when they lost the last game (which they usually did) to play the "You loose" bullseye music to put you in a shitter of a mood for the night.
Check out Henry Kelly's mysterious silent rambling between 5.50 & 5.53, as he walks out from behind the set!! looks like he's telling the audience what he REALLY thinks of them LOL :-)
they don't make gameshows like the eighties ones any more. why do you think they're rerunning a load on challenge tv? and as for fifteen to one, it could run even today, if william g, who owned the production company, and the show, wanted to continue it.
The problem I think with gameshows today, is the complexity trying to make the show too flashy and the music not catchy and memorible enough. Two things the older game shows did, kept the format simple, didn't over do it with the graphics and created some of the best themes for any game shows.
Ah, the memories. Especially Bullseye. Every time a player hit the bull my brother used to say 'the bull's hit'. I was 19 before I figured that one out. :-)
You know what I really miss nowadays. Sitting down ona Saturday night and watching al these shows. Maybe I'm looking back through Rose-Tinted specs, but, I feel television back then was superior. I miss it :(
u kno wat ur rite ste. check out my floorfillers 08 videos after each song has finished. it doesn't freeze but it shows tht movie maker can be... wats the word, SHIT! my pleasure rooms uploads were fine so it can b gd.
LOL, that brought back a few memories! I used to love all of those shows as a kid. Going for Gold was a definite staple of school holidays - I used to lie in bed until lunchtime and only get up when it came on.
Love the Bullseye prizes with Jim Bowen's corny introductions.
OMFG how good were the 80s?! i loved the Krapton Factor and Blankety Blank (Les Dawson was better). Bullseye and Big Break are both ring tones on my phone. and Going For Gold was probably the greatest programme EVER! there were always good loonies on that show. Ah, the memories...
Blimey!!! Strewth!! Since I live in US, I have never heard of your Britsh (Scottish) Celebs?? May I Kiss u indeed!!! U blokes still get Missing Link??? US version wuz cancelled in 2003!! i miss it!! 3000 POUNDS!!!! flipper242
Hope you don't mind me asking, but why towards the beginning do you switch back and forth between shows midway-through, lmao? And also is the Catchphrase clip meant to freeze only a few seconds in like that? =S
Some of these are 1990s, because I remember watching them, and I wouldn't remember the 1980s being only 2 by the time they were over... still, I'm cool with that. Must have watched an awful lot of gameshows in my childhood though....
Celeberty Squares was just a revived Punch lines with a diffarent name it like snickers used tobe called marathon

what type of computer was that on Bullzeye as the 2nd prise? was it a Spectrum?
hankeyj84 2 years ago
It's a Spectrum 128k +2A. Notice the built in tape player. Very very impressive for an eight year old at that time!

Just my two cents!
marzsyndrome 3 years ago
Thanks for your comment... I switched between shows due to them being particularly long clips, I wanted to break them up a bit :)
And no, the catchphrase clip freezing is a result of the oh-so-worthy WindowsMovieMaker (end sarcasm) not doing its job.
