I think that you are not a musician since you cannot recognize or familiarize the sound of a note... the one at 4:33 is the same note as Charice's last note of her version... Stupid! and Charice copied Regine's version... she only improvised the version with her last note... Regine's version of this was 1988... So now, Regine improvised another version of this song and I don't think Charice can handle it... it's in the most requested live just sitting. =P

In this act, Regine is not actually singing .... she didn't care about the voice. Jake's arrangement gave her that "space". IMHO, she's directly speaking to her beloved, Ogie Alcasid. In fact, she was crying. It was sung at the time when Regine and Ogie's relationship was at peril. There was still a lingering question: Would the public accept them? You know ... some Filipinos are still "hypocrite". They hate divorce, but they love ... "clandestine affairs", especially the guys.

Regine's voice is 180 degrees different from Jennifer Holliday (check her youtube version). Jennifer's original version was rough. A young Regine sang the song in an "ULTIMATE DIVA PERFORMANCE" in 1989 Asia-Pacific Contest (HK), of which she won the Grand Prize. That was a once-in-a-lifetime performance. Regine's version was sweet - a perfect soprano, sans the roughness and black/soul style of Jen. The Jen Hudson movie version was a poor Holliday style. Charice's performance was a copycat.
