holy crap this was a living hell. i went outside (house in 4s ranch) and the sky was all red and the winds were 65 MPH. i was in the car with all our stuff and the car almost tipped over cuz of the winds.
I live in the Escondido/San Marcos area so the skies here were only dark grayish at the very most. It was so eerie...every place was closed and nobody was out so all of San Diego was like a ghost town.

That's not going to happen, the media is somewhat biased to even say anything about the situation. You also have to consider the fact that there's a lot of rich elites living in Cali (save a few wealthy individuals who might not be biased), and they've got the money to pull a few strings. Don't get me wrong, this fire was a disaster and something no state or city should have to go through. But sometimes discrimination does happen...

the witch fire burned up trees literally across the street of my home. We are thankful to the firefighters for their hard work and grateful to God for saving our house. Many others were not so lucky, and they are all in our prayers.

Mm, it was awful. This is the second time my family has had to live through forest fires raging through San Diego. I know how it is, man. I hope you and all your family are okay.

I heard the winds are much calmer and even some rain is moving onshore now,cant believe that beautiful castle in malibu was destroyed! My bro lived in oceanside for 10 years,while he was in the marines,he took me to hollywood,sandiego,and all the beaches,but the place i miss the most is julian,hopefully it was spared again,any word? thanks

weren't those fires scary. i got evacuated. one of my neighbor's tree fell down and almost hit their house from the 71 mph wind.

This looks horrific. I had no idea something as bad as this was happening, my London newspaper only gave it a cursery couple of lines. I pray injuries will be negligigible and personal strength will be great.

damn thanks for putting this up i drove down by the firestation to see how close it came to the road, i wanted to know what it looked like on fire. i live in the apartment across from maranatha. so i know exactly where you are filming from. i just moved here from rb. my old house burned down.

the witch fire burned up trees literally across the street of my home. We are thankful to the firefighters for their hard work and grateful to God for saving our house. Many others were not so lucky, and they are all in our prayers.

our cars were coverd in ashes in riverside, ca also grandmother in tijuana, mex called me and said that they were also getting alot of ashes

yah these fires are crazy, i live about 5 miles from 4s ranch but it didnt hit our house. i think it said an arson started the witch fire, hope your neighborhood was ok

thoses fires are almost gone!!!!!! (I HOPE) and on the first day of the fires ash literally when in my house and it was covered!!! most of my friends have to evacute

I never had fires like that before, only once when I was in Greece, but that was nothing compared with this... :s It's already freaking me out now. Hope the wind goes down soon.
