On many versions of the game this is no longer possible, it was patched out. This includes the recently released HD PS3 version.

@mattjasonhardwick well thats not true as im playing legend again on my ps3 and it works....when you tried if you did ... did you turn off the water as otherwise you just hit the waterfall and bounce off

Shizz that isn't fair I finished the time trial without any shortcuts and I took about a million tries and finally succeeded with the one-shot-kill cheat lol XD

its not a short cut well its only for after you escape the boulder you fall off the ledge back into the start of the level and need to get back up hope that helped any one who was finding it difficult

I know this video is way old, I played it on my Xbox, (yes I still haven't gotten a 360) I did it on my 12th try. It really does work!
