Do you have a trained ear? I don't, so I can't tell you what specifically the chords actually are.

Listening to both of them, I admit there are some different chords, but the rhythm is similar, and some parts of the vocals follow a similar tune as The List.

That being said, I should probably add that it's fine if he's only "playing" the guitar, but at this stage I see no reason why he can't learn more.
