  • The anti-outsourcing bill didn't penalize companies for outsourcing. It merely suggest that Federal funds and tax-exemptions should not be granted to companies for those jobs which they create in other countries. Which is totally logical. No other country in the world pays companies to outsource.

  • It's 2012 now, outsourcing is no less an issue but we don't hear about it as much.

  • @LancePoint9 It's the future.. get on the gravy train.

  • Thekmbt is a fucking moron. Seriously. Fox news misinformation junkie all the way. It's gotta be a dude, and dumb as a box of rocks.

  • Because we pay for them, moron. For generations. With our blood, sweat and deaths, you are a stupid, evil piece of shite.

Republicans need to go away. Bigtime. You're either wealthy or a stupid redneck breeder shooting yourself in the foot and don't even know it. Go to hell moron. That's where you and all your kind belong.

  • For the idiot kmbt. Our government is supported by our tax dollars, since the inception of this country. We the people of this country don't receive handouts, if our taxes are not spent on the people who should our money go to? People already living extremely well? Corporations? Other countries? You must be a complete moron to make a statement like that. It's moronic, evil pieces of shit like you that make the world a horrible place to live in. The reason we are entitled to these programs is be

  • Here we go again Republicans ignoring the American people and holding best intrest of the rich and corporation at heart - let's face facts when the econmy Tanked the first thing congress did which was run majority Republicans do was make sure the corporation got bailed out in time for them to get thier Multi million dollrs bonuses - while American families lost the roof over thier heads - Republican just another word For SHIT - that's about all they are SHIT !!!

  • Corporate America, destroying everything they touch.

  • The kmbt is nothing more than an antagonist. He, more likely a sick he, cannot feel like it does and be human. The GOP are whore takers and losers. Mcconnel, bonnier and cantor suck the snotty end of the uncircumcised monter member of manhood of the Koch Brothers. JOB CREATORS? yeah, for China. They have dug themselves in too deep. Now only death awaits them. You know how they say that immigrants have taken advantage of our lax rules, etc....they told on themselves, because that's what they do.

  • @acchokiefan Wait! I'm a Progressive, but it was Clinton and Obama who pushed for and enacted Gatt, Nafta and the latest 3 nation "Free Trade: agreements! I HATE Republicans and all they stand for, but this one is on the Democrats

  • What did any body expected - watch "Thom Hartmann: Republicans ran up the debt & now they don't want to pay the bill "

  • Republicans are the people who dress 7+8 year old girls up with makeup like adult women teaching them how to be whores early on in life. That's so they will have a never ending supply of whores that will marry filth like Gengrich. Just look at how they turn out; bleach blonde hair and $3,000 suits to attend book signings. Republican men are the ones ass raping little boys in the basement while the wife eats pharmaceuticals in the kitchen. She want's to kill herself but he pays the bills.

  • I can guarantee you....if the republicans and wealthy elite could replace all middle-management and below workers with inexpensive robots, they would do so in a heartbeat and not think twice about it.

  • @darkinsdme2 of coz.. it's all about the bottom line.

  • The best bill that the Democrats or Republicans can introduce, is a bill to ban lobbyists.

  • @Finnbar01 That would be great for the American people but Dems and Reps will never pass such a bill. Lobbyists are where most of the politicians get money to fund their campaigns.

  • this is just another example of the pull on our govt by the military industrial complex and the newworld order.

  • there is no democrates, or republicans, it's just manipulation, it's one government against the people, ( unless your rich ). if we had one government it would be easy to blame them, but divided it's the republicans or democrates, so you blame yourselves. we don't choose the canidates, they are chosen by their abilities to kiss the rich man's ass, we only choose which ass kisser we like the best. OUR GOVERNMENT IS BROKEN, SO WAKE UP.

  • we need to get rid of these guys before they kill more jobs and drop the minimum wage to $2/hr

the way they put it, they're doing us a big favor screwing us and expect us all to vote them in so they can make sure anyone who's middle class gets thrown out on the street

I told everyone not to vote for these guys!

  • Thought the newly elected tea party was making jobs their top priority. OOPS SOME CONSERVATIVES GOT TAKEN FOR A RIDE AGAIN! THANKS CONSERVATIVES WHO VOTED FOR THE TEA PARTY FOR TAKING US DOWN WITH YOU!

  • Corporate government wipes their ass on the Revolutionary Partiots and the Constitution that brilliant men created for future generations. This is worst than terrorist attacking us. The terrorist have their reasons, too. How would you like for this subjugating government to dictate to you if you lived in another country? You would, as I would, hate that government (country). Hell, don't you hate this government now? Liars, traitors and thieves. I am so proud of our government.

  • @octaviaaugustus1950

republicans always brag how they must keep us safe from terrorists yet keep protecting the guns "it's not guns that are evil, it's people that are evil"

how come republicans dont object to innocents getting blown away on the streets? They don't care, that's why

Anyways, I'm glad the gestapo like tactics of the republicans are out in the open with Walker. Hopefully this will wake people up instead of lazy people telling us "Democrats are just like republicans"

  • @Piglatinsuperstar Hey Bobbalu, I didn't say anything about guns. You've got me confused with someone else. I hope you don't have a gun! As far as lazy people telling us that "Democrats are just like Republicans", it is now true. They all drink from the same trough, they all are whores of big business lobbyist, they are all traitors and scum. I never vote to re-elect an incumbent and neither should any self-respecting person. Congress works for the banks.

  • @octaviaaugustus1950

no, that's just your perception. to see the difference between democrats & republicans, all one has to do is look at the state of Wisconsin where the Gov orders missing Dems to return so they can screw the workers the way all republicans would like to see. only thing is Dems dont work for Republicans so everyone can see just who's screwing them

Funny u should mention whores & lobbyists. Republicans, the well known WHORES of corporations, lobbyist like Koch Industries

  • @octaviaaugustus1950

sorry bro, you're just too slow & dimwitted to win this one

that's why other Repulivan Governors have already jumped ship, leaving Scott to fend for himself

he'll probably commit suicide in the next week when he doesnt get what he wants

  • @octaviaaugustus1950

why dont I see any counter demonstrators, otherwise known as libertarians, tea party members, republicans showing up? How come there aint no counter demonstrators?

Becuz the support is overwhelmingly on OUR side

when you have freezing weather in Wisconsin, aint none of your people going to show up

and here in LA in warmer weather they still aint going to show. Not ONE of your people bothered to show in comparison to our couple of thousand

  • And I am not surprised. This country worships money. They may as well come clean. That's why slavery was accepted for so long (free labor).

  • we need to begin boycotting businesses that outsource jobs.

  • @bellacnella18 That's a wonderful idea, but HOW??

  • @mannecyberguy make a list of shame. write articles in the paper. utilize the internet. americans need to stop being distracted and band together. I work for a small but quickly growing company and they started sending work over to India. So many people here are looking for work but they do not want to pay Americans. It's terrible.

  • The nine most likely words from a republican controlled congress, "I'm from the government and I help rich people."

  • instead of the republicans/corporations killing the bill.... it should have killed them.

  • I thought it was good to outsource jobs that most people don't want. A lot of people in other countries are completely and utterly broke and need jobs to survive. Why not give them the job that nobody wants?

  • @Narglesonamistletoe

"Why not give them the job that nobody wants?"

You mean like 50k+ year programming jobs?

  • I am amazed that several of you idiots commenting on this video actually somehow for some reason believe that Cenk is Wrong! You people are the reason why Mexico and China now make Products that were once AMERICAN ONLY! You people are the biggest bunch of misfits I have ever encountered and it is because of turds like you why I sometimes support some kind of an IQ test before you vote!

  • re-read the first sentence, its not a zero-sum game.

  • This guy is a moron. He is making statements that irrelevant to the issue. He is good at getting people pissed off at the GOP.

If China would start taxing the way we tax here, then international companies would stop outsourcing jobs to China. Yes, these mean old companies are the ones that gave you a job and then took it away just so they could stay competitive.

Now Obama wants to save your job with even more taxes. Yeah right! All that will do is kill any chance American companies have left.

  • @JRFrogman What do you mean "if China would start taxing the way we tax here"? OH, you mean assramming the lower and middle class while letting fatass corporatist parasites get away with low taxes?

Try it the other way around. The US should be taxing the way the Chinese tax. The Chinese system of income taxes is a progressive tax system that forces wealthy elites to actually contribute to society instead of just eating lard and getting drunk all day while counting their billions.

  • @JRFrogman And indeed you are one of em. look you idiot, if I owned a Company or you owned one, instead of paying 12-15 an hour for Factory workers who also have health care I will simply take my business and move to Mexico (The Way GM Did it) I can pay those Factory workers 2-5 an hour instead, and offer NO FORM OF HEALTH CARE (The most expensive Element)! And since I will be getting tax breaks from the US guess what? HELLO PROFITS! You are a moron And goodbye American Jobs!

  • Correct. This is the obvious reason for the "logic" behind the politics within the republican-conservative and tea-party movement.

By having peripheral structure and office in the USA, a corporation can tax to the United States, and then outsource all (jobs) production, support, maintenance and everything else to Africa and Asia, which is impossibly more cost-effective.

This is National economical Treason, this much is obvious.

Why they have voters is perplexing however.

  • this is #1, #2 get my premium down, #3 exit strategy/fix the infastructure, scary:o(

  • Chamber of Commerce----enemies of the Average American.

  • @Scipio2021 Plutocracy is the enemy of Free Enterprise. The next time we're attacked and or called to war, pause and ask why? Call on the corporations leaders and the affluent fucks that benefit from THEIR form of government that preys on us all. Why would you or I fight for Corporate America? We in no way benefit with those psychopaths. It isn't the country I was told it is, it's a country of lies, deception and subjugation. I don't share in the fruits of liberty, I pick it for the rich.

  • @octaviaaugustus1950 If they even try another war like Iraq there's gonna be a revolt much like Egypt.

America will have it's 2nd revolution soon.

  • @Scipio2021 what the Chamber doesn't get is that they are even an enemy to themselves and American businesses.

  • Comment removed

  • i have seen doctors, lawyers and aeronautical engineers take up outsourced jobs like answer stupid credit card questions (like, "why is my payment marked negative on all my statements") because it pays more to do that than to pursue their area of expertise- i was hoping that the anti-outsourcing bill would give us a chance to regain focus on our strengths rather than our cheapness

  • i am in India, and i have another take on this; i was in the outsourcing business for 8 years (2000 to 2008), people here argue that it is good for our economy and i wont disagree with that- but it seems to be killing us culturally and intellectually.

  • @tafxkz

I am interested in how you see this. What is happening with your culture?

  • @Flashistic

well outsourced work pays a lot, like answer credit card questions over the phone or making telemarketing calls pays pays about 6 to 10 times more than what a young doctor, dentist or engineer would in urban India.

this is good for our economy, but it may not be good culturally

personally i spent 8 years in various oursourced jobs until 2 years ago when i felt the need to focus on my calling as an independent songwriter singer, it was a tough move but i trust it is worth it

  • neo cons

  • ONLY 2, 3, maybe 4 MILLION jobs?

    Seriously?!

  • @mecher3k Right?! that's like the entire city of Los Angeles losing their jobs. They're only people trying to support families... so fucked up.

  • so the GOP attacks Obama on not fixing the economy... while they also sabotage any efforts to fix the economy.

  • Where are the sensible centrists in US politics?

  • I am as liberal as any liberal can get. But, won't putting a stop to outsourcing actually promote and protect inefficient labor sectors in our country? I believe in a free market, and of course I think its terrible to lose your job if outsourced.

  • @Teromi It's a deterrent. I don't think they want to bring the FOXCONN jobs to the US... but certainly all the tech/customer support should not be done oversees. This is companies operating in the US, trying to hire Indians to serve you. That makes no sense. The service is no good and how could you possibly make a decision on which product you want to support with your wallet... it's not like it says "Made in the U.S.A. but Bimbad or Sanchuk will take your call if it breaks"

  • @Teromi

When you say inefficient remember the U.S. worker is consistently rated very high as far as productivity. But in a free market that is supposed to mean something. This is all about wealth accumulation, not just "competition". The American consumer has been the driving engine behind the economy and now that spending is down the Mullti-Nationals will find consumers elsewhere. At taxpayer expense!

  • Fuck John Boehner!

  • @RRCSMM LOL if for any reason I dod have a hospiltal bill for anything. Unlike you I will not turn to our government as a freeloader asking for a hand out. I will do as everyone has always don't. Pay what you can, when you can. No hospital can not repossess my property for a late payed bill. if it takes me 20 years to pay it. As long as it gets payed, that's between me and the hospital, not you or the government. That's what grown up s do. But being a kid you would ather freeload off everyone.

  • @RRCSMM The 1st solution is to rid our government of all progressives. it's the progressive that are anti-American. They are more into 'Global'. this b/s bill about outsourcing had nothing to do with outsourcing. it was a democrat ploy to try and make people think that Republicans are anti-American. but yet it was the democrat leader that refused the reading of the bill on the house floor and in the senate.

  • @RRCSMM oh I see. you are only 20. you maybe have 2 years of work under your belt. unless you did like me and started working at age 13, joined the military at 17. Got out and busted ass every since. Sweating my ass off in the summer and freeze in the winter.Working to provide a home, clothing, food and all the good things in life. As well as healthcare for all those years. My sons doing to the same of caring for their families. Now this generation just wants it just handed to them without the work.

  • @RRCSMM selfish??? just because you want what I have, but refuse to go out and work for it. If that makes me selfish, then that makes you a fat and lazy freeloader.

listen kid. I work for meand my family not you or yours. We shouldn't paying any tax that's going to be used into taking care of you. Yes I'm old school, I believe in what you work for is yours and what I work for is mine. now if I have to help support you and your wife too. Send her over to help work off your debt to me.

  • @RRCSMM It's not the governments job to give you any healthcare insurance. That's what you freeloaders believe, but it's not. but to mandate everyone take part in it, now makes it communism. That's not of the 50's. That's be the way of the world every since the begaining. You do work, you don't eat. you don't want healtcare, you don't have to pay for healthcare. That;s what this nation was founded upon. The freedom of choice. Bceause communism has to be forced on everyone.

  • @MrSTANDFORAMERICA

"you don't want healtcare, you don't have to pay for healthcare. That;s what this nation was founded upon."

By law a hospital is required to treat you if you go to the emergency room.

So you are wrong on health care not being a right. Health care is already considered a right.

Instead we spend a pound of cure when we could of spent an ounce of prevention.

The constitution itself in the preamble states to "promote the general welfare" of the people.

  • @MrSTANDFORAMERICA

"That;s what this nation was founded upon. "

    Nation was founded for.

"We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

  • @RRCSMM Well what is alraedy over seas gets to stay over seas. The bill said nothing about any company that is already over seas. The bill should have read, that any US company over seas will not be allowed to sell any of their goods in the USA. Plus they would have to move their whole company over seas and out of the US. or be taxed 3/4's of all profits. nothing in the bill would stop outsourcing.

  • @RRCSMM It was Universal Health Care. But if you don't support commnism you're not allowed to be covered. I can live without the healthcare. For all those years of paying I only used it once. But that's what health insurance is all about. But now that find to be union you have to be a communist, it's not worth it.

  • America IS THE RICHEST COUNTRY in the world.

America gives billions of dollars to Israel for support and "aid".

So stop whining about outsourcing and losing jobs. It won't really affect Americans that much.

  • @TimeGod12 All togather the US sends trillions in aid all around the world. And with all these bailouts even more.

  • @RRCSMM 1st it wasn't part of the agreement of the bailouts.

2nd, the government owns GM. It's the government that owns 235 GM plants over seas. Why isn't the government shutting them down and bring them all back to the USA?

don't get me starting on the unions. They fucked me for 33 years. kicked me out because I refused to swear and oth to socialism. Lost my pension, healthcare, everything. And because my wife had a heart attack and I went to the hospital to be with her and not work that day.

  • @RRCSMM To hold to their bailouts all they have to do is pay back what they took. all of it. then the government has no say. But to have 'redistribution of wealth' the government has to have total control. being GM wasn't worth $22 billion and obama bought them out with $54 billion, te US government owns GM. Not any one person or group of people...well ever in the USA owns GM. it soon to be known as "The People's Motor Company".

Wakeup kid there isn't much time left.

  • @RRCSMM That the obama progressive bullshit wool being pulled over your eyes. if you take from a large company to just give to people that don't work for it, companies will just down size, out souece or shut down all togather.

in all of obama's 'redistribution of wealth' speeches, he speaks of "global" 'redistribution of wealth'. he is not talking about thaking from like GM and just giving it to the poor in the USA.

  • Fat mexican

  • @RRCSMM Then force the banks to be liable for the defaulted loans. Then to save the banks from their total f**kup, they then turned and payed more tax money to bail them out. Then turn around and just gave GM $54 billion as a bailout. When GM has has more plants over seas than in the states. one day you'll growup and understand what obama and the progressives mean by "redistribution of wealth". It's not to Americans dumbass.

  • @MrSTANDFORAMERICA Unlike what many americans believe, the US manufacturing output as a share of real GDP has remained stable in last 60 years: 16-18% (inflation-adjusted value). There are less manufacturing jobs because of productivity growth and trade deficits. US trade deficits are a consequence of relaxed monetary and fiscal policies (aka too much credit), not greed and free trade. US trade deficits are 100% about energy and consumer goods, NOT industrial supplies and finished capital goods.

  • @RRCSMM Those are pay for by state and local taxes, not federal taxes.obama and his bunch of communist want to change al that. They what a federal ran school, fire and police system put in place.Next your dumbass will say that giving tithe at church is socialism. The federal welfare system is a form of socialism, as why most Americans want it gone. The liberals are they ones that are trying to destory the nation.Back with Clinton, forcing banks to take tax payers money and loan to those on welfare.

  • all downhill for US since nafta commies are rich and we're holding the what, derivatives bag, man these people are relentless when are they going to realize WE SEE WHAT THEY ARE DOING and we DONT LIKE IT, this makes UNIONS LOOK LIKE ANGELS

  • @RRCSMM Liberals have put us over the cliff. Your point about government funded entities is wrong. Not everything government is socialism.

  • show the facts! He talks a lot with very little facts!

  • A "Second Amendment solution" to this problem may be the answer. At least that is what Sharon Angle, and many other Conservative Christian/Republican/Tea Bagger/Right-Winger's believes is the answer situations they disagrees with.

  • How can the Republicans stop any bill if the Democrats are majority leaders in the House and Senate? And also, what else was in the bill? Where there other things in the bill not agreeable? Where is this information?

  • @1irish4u I think it's like people blaming Bush for the war in Iraq. If Congress was dominated by Democrats, is it just the Republicans to blame? Then again the media is heavily left wing...

  • @1irish4u Have you paid no attention the last two years. The senate has some really fubar rules that the Republicans have manipulated on a daily basis. I understand that you think the Democrats should be able to do the right thing, but if some of them don't really want to either,....well, you get the drift.

  • @1irish4u Have you ever taken a Civics class? I suggest you learn how the Senate works my dear.

  • @1irish4u 1st it take 60 votes to pass or fail a bill. with the extra 4 democrats just helped.

oh yes there you are thinking...what else was in the bill. $billions more that had nothing to do with Outsourcing. more government control over all companies, higher taxes.

no debates and amendments were going to be allowed. Plus the democrats held back 1/3 of the bill so it scould be read, not unless they pass it, then you can read what is all in the bill.

  • but so far every bill that's getting blocked has amnsty all over it. more money and government control.

  • John Boehner sucks Tom Donohue's Dick, these are facts!

  • I don't know many Republicans, but I think they look like Polish and East Prussians before the Weimar Republic failed. They look that intense on wine.

  • brdmakan@ What exactly do you mean by your statement "The problem of american productivity will still exist ."???

I'm sure the majority here would love to hear your answer to that! And once you answer it I'm sure everyone would also love to hear what your position in life is? What do you do for a living? Exactly what hardships have you endured lately? And exactly what is it that is in your best interest for American companies to outsource? We would all LOVE to hear these answers!

  • "Apolitical" in 2010 = "Unemployed" in 2011.

  • America is holding on by strings

  • The Corporations are killing the U. S., growing the economies of other countries especially those that will eventually be our enemies, like China and other repressive governments. We also give tax breaks and incentives to the companies that send all our jobs overseas. We have to vote these people out, especially the Republicans before it's too late.

  • GOP only wants to say no to the dems. giving the bird to their own voters along the way. Talk about cutting off the nose to spite the face. See how they cry when only the top 2% vote for them.

  • Chamber of Commerce is the lowest form of life on the planet. GOP right up there with them.

  • How do these folks expect to stay rich on our taxes, when they take all our jobs overseas? XD

  • "Any one with 2 bits of sense can tell you that " Maybe thats why economists , leading ones say that . The problem with liberals is that they dont understand economics. Laws banning outsourcing is like burying your head in sand . The problem of american productivity will still exist .

  • Dammit, can I have some good news for a change? Come on Cenk, there has to be something.

Oh wait, isn't Rahm Emanuel leaving office this week?!

  • republicans dont get their massive success by all the rich careless guys but because of the poor stupid guys who are getting fooled and think they do the right thing whenever they use their vote against gay people and pro discrimination. and those people who are dumb as shit is the problem we somehow need to fight!

  • I don't see why Americans are so upset when they tend to cultivate a ME! society, and Greed prospers. Greed cultivates itself. If everyone is taking, then everyone is wanting. It's a cycle of diminishing returns :)

    :P

  • republicans and democrats are all duochebags

  • Cenk, you are such a shill for the Democrats. Companies cannot be treated differently under the law simply because they manufacture stuff overseas. Should Honda close all of it's plants in America? or Subaru? You have to think these things through before you spout off about them.

  • @CommonSenseJoe The same can be applied for what you are denoting. The allegations here are not that they be treated differently by law. But, that they don't deserve incentives or rewards for shipping jobs off-seas. Congress was formed to look out for the domestic citizens interest, not Multinational corporate interest that only cares about its own economic growth and stimulus.

  • @edeal86 He's right though. You need to have an educated workforce for those positions to be filled. Even if outsourcing was banned for U.S. companies (example), we would cripple our businesses even further. Less expansion means less taxable revenue. No other developed country has tried to limit outsourcing through forcing companies. They do it by raising tariffs. It's a bad idea economically, but if we just care about politics, then it would be great.

  • @groam6666 I don't recall every mentioning anything about banning outsourcing or condemning the corporations. They just don't deserve the tax cuts. There are much better ways for our government to expend that roughly 4 Trillion USD that would otherwise go into executive pockets. Such as on education and other policies that would help people financially attend and graduate college.

  • @edeal86 I put 'example' in parenthesis so you would assume that's what I meant. I apologize if you misunderstood me.

I agree completely, there are better things to do with the money corporations make. But going overboard and punishing an already fragile economy would be fatal in my opinion. U.S. companies could always just leave and move to Europe, and still sell their products on U.S. markets,& turn a better profit from countries who do not double tax, such as Germany,Europe's largest economy.

  • @groam6666 If they are that greedy to the point that they don't care about the fate of there own nation. Let them leave. There will always be more investors and businesses willing to take risks. The important issues are actually getting the US back up to world standards and paying off the deficit. Which these corporations and POLITICIANS seem to not really care about.

  • @edeal86 Corporations are greedy, but that is their job and contributes to efficiency. Corporations and small firms provide jobs, most companies are small and are not incredibly rich, or financially well off. 75% of Corps fail within 2 years, and 50% fail after before reaching 5 years. Outsourcing is a neccisarry evil. The company grows, and it still provides a service or product. If we try and limit that, we hurt the corporation and economy.Less service/products = less income for the government

  • @edeal86 Imagine if Europe told their companies to not build factories or setup shop in America. America would be up in arms, but Europeans would not even dream of doing that to their businesses. We already hurt America by closing the 'tax' loophole, that prevented double taxing of foreign corporations investing in America, now we have to prevent outsourcing? It will just hurt our economy even more. We have a poorly educated workforce, crap infrastructure, etc.America is not enticing for investors

  • @groam6666 There you go again, I never said anything about preventing outsourcing. The top 2% can live and exist without an extra 4 trillion dollars. The rest of us can't. That money would be more beneficial going into policies that train the work force, or by helping us establish a single-payer healthcare system. The last time we gave them a tax break OVERSEA production skyrocketed, while domestic production came to a stand still. America isn't a cow for Germany and the rest of the EU to milk.

  • @edeal86 You stated to CommenSenseJoe, "The allegations here are not that they be treated differently by law. But, that they don't deserve incentives or rewards for shipping jobs off-seas." If that is the topic of the video, your previous conversation, and our conversation, how can you claim you never said anything about outsourcing.

If we want America strong, we need an educated workforce and a great infrastructure, Germany has all those, and that's why they export more than the U.S.

  • @edeal86 You still never refuted any of my arguments. Your insistence with social justice and crushing the rich blinds you from having any realistic solution or rebuttal in this debate. In a perfect world, yes, we would have an economy like we did before the 70's, but we don't and it's very unlikely that will change.

I agree with your points, but I don't think anti outsourcing legislation is the right way to tackle this problem.

  • @groam6666 In a sense I already have. By you automatically assuming that I have a delusion such as "crushing the rich". Such a thing is impossible and will always be impossible until we ourselves as a human race transcend both morally and technology to a stage where we no longer have such constraints. The common ground here is that the tax cuts are not going to help, and when they obtain them this year it will only further that truth. I have no need to refute such claims.

  • @edeal86 Most people who argue for such measures do fantasize about hurting the rich and reinvest that income, I'm guilty of that as well.

I am refuting your assertions, but you find it unreasonable to refute mine? I have agreed on all your what if scenarios and that said they are right morally speaking. But, we find ourselves at odds when discussing trade policies.

Tax cut's do help economies, depending on their strengths.America needs tax cuts to provide growth. If not, companies will move

  • @edeal86 we use to produce something valuable, but the decline of funding to education and infrastructure, have limited investment possibilities. That forces companies to go overseas to increase efficiency. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to be a protectionist and help our domestic production. It would only force other nations to adopt similar protectionist policies that would ultimately hurt our economy as well.

Time for me to go to bed though, will respond later.

    Have a good one :)

  • @groam6666 As I said before, your claims will refute themselves in time. We are still to this day unable to distinguish short term adaptions from long term adaptions. And that is just not related to just economics, but all fields. Its a paradox. Labor and union movements have already been robbed of decent wages, for corporate profits and Wall Street bubbles. The middle class has already been besieged for years, greatly and rapidly diminishing its income.

  • @groam6666 The current route of giving the corporations tax breaks and hoping that the overseas production will incite economic growth is the short term adaption. As the numbers and facts alone show that it has a negative effect on the economy. But, how would you even know if you are in GERMANY. There is a distinctive difference between the American and EU cultural and economic model if you hold them in contrast.

  • @edeal86 There are no incentives or rewards in the tax code for outsourcing jobs. These decisions are made on a purely business basis. If I can manufacture a product with the same quality and ship it here cheaper than manufacturing it here, then I outsource it. The problem is that the cost regulation, union labor, and such has made the US uncompetitive in many areas. If other nations took the same stance with us, lots of Americans would lose their jobs working for companies outside the US.

  • @CommonSenseJoe Competitiveness will be raised when ever our government stops buckling down on the middle class. Which means no tax cuts for the top 2%. I am sorry, but the numbers and facts show that it doesn't help our economy and you don't even need to watch TYT to learn that. Just research the United States Deficit. If they give tax cuts to the rich its going to disastrous to the US economy. I am sorry, but the right wings can argue that game all day long. It doesn't work.

  • @edeal86 How did we get on the issue of tax cuts? Is this all you liberals think about? Punish the rich! Taxing the rich has not help our economy at all. We have over 40% of Americans paying NO FEDERAL TAX AT ALL. How is that help our economy?

  • @CommonSenseJoe Joe you are saying you want to put more money in the pockets of trial lawyers and stock traders? How the hell do you balance a budget and pay down debt if you cut taxes? It doesn't work. By allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire and go back to 39.5% from 35% is not going to hurt the rich. It will cost our kids $700 billion to extend the cuts though. So, that is your idea of fiscal responsibility? Take Econ 101, look up marginal utility, they won't create jobs trickle down=lie

  • @Zurie53225 Please don't try to convince me you care about trial lawyers! I think the whole system, from top to bottom, is flawed. It is punitive. It punishes individuals for making more money. It is manipulative. It screws the free market by adding temporary incentives and hurts the market when they are withdrawn. I believe a flat tax with no exemptions is the best way to solve our fiscal problems. 47% of American PAY NO FEDERAL TAX. They enjoy the benefits without any responsibility.

  • @CommonSenseJoe This was never about punishing the rich. This robin hood charade that republicans keep spouting out of there asses every time someone even mentions tax cuts is absurd and dumbfounded. Our government has better things to spend 4 trillion USD on, other then tax cuts for corporations that do nothing more but waste every ounce of the tax cuts on executive bonuses and off-sea production. That's why 8 million Americans are unemployed.

  • @edeal86 It has ALWAYS been about punishing the successful people in our country. This is why we have 8 million unemployed. It is the successful people who take risks and open businesses and create jobs. The government continues to spend and waste money hand over fist while paying off their supporters. Even the CBO told them that their stimulus would not create any real jobs. Everyone cannot work for the government. Someone has to actually make money and pay taxes.

  • @CommonSenseJoe Right, because anyone that was lucky enough to not have their risky business ventures backfire on them is honestly a better person and shouldn't have to pay their percentage of taxes. Same shit, different time. The rich thought that they could remain exempt during the middle ages to. If it had remained that way, we wouldn't be as far as we are today. Anyone could of told you that the half-worked stimulus bill wouldn't of worked. But, neither will the bush tax cuts either.

  • @edeal86 I never said the "rich" should not have to pay taxes. You need to stick the facts and stop spouting the liberal line. The tax cuts worked just fine. The problem is Congress, including both Republicans and Democrats, spent the money. If you would have had TWICE the size of stimulus it would not have worked either. It was not HOW much was spent but where it was spent. Business create jobs, not government. Expanding the government makes things worse, not better.

  • @CommonSenseJoe January 22, 2001 budget surplus of $143 billion, national debt $4.5 trillion, high employment, low inflation, investment markets saturated with capital, state budgets balanced. January 22, 2007 budget deficit of $400 billion, national debt $10.5 trillion, unemployment rising, investment markets destabilized, inflation of energy, housing, education and health care @ 20% per annum, state budgets in chaos, economic collapse immanent. REALLY GOOD JOB, REPUBLICANS!

  • @EternalRecursion All that was going on because of Republicans. Without them put the brakes on Clinton, you have had the same situation you now have President Obama. You want to blame everything on the Republicans and nothing on the Democrats. Sorry, it does not work that way. Democrats voted for the war, TWICE. We were attacked on 911 which required a response. Argue what you wish but this is OBAMA's mess.

  • @CommonSenseJoe "All that was going on because of Republicans." Agreed, Republicans sabotaged the economy. "Argue what you wish" Not arguing, just citing facts and congratulating the Republicans for sabotaging the economy.

  • @EternalRecursion Which they did not do.

  • @EternalRecursion............. right on to that you put wolves in the hen house they will eat the chickens .

  • @CommonSenseJoe First of all I am not associated with the liberal society. I will definitely not deny that congress blew our money on wasted packages and DEFENSE contracts. But, they also wasted it on the tax cuts. Which did not work at all. If you believe they worked then your in denial. All the top economists came to a consensus threw research and facts that the cuts don't work. All the cuts do is give the corporations a reason to expand out of the US, instead of producing inside the US.

  • @edeal86 Right, we should not defend our country. Let us just cut the Defense budget and hope we are not attacked again. The President said we could handle another attack. The tax cuts are for INDIVIDUALS, not corporations. The reason any company expands out side the US is because it is MORE PROFITABLE TO DO SO. Honda builds a plant in the US and makes cars here because it is cheaper than building them overseas and shipping them here. These are simple business decisions.

  • @CommonSenseJoe Well when Bush had defense budget at an all time high, soldiers didnt have the standard issue equipment they needed.... spending MORE money doesnt solve the problem, SMARTER money will. The problem with outsourcing is you cant complain about unemployment in America and then say "well its more pofitable to send ur job overseas, sucks to be you"

  • @gr8z0mbiejesus President Clinton had cut the Defense budget to create his mythical surplus. It takes time to build up the military after you have cut it. You cannot just magically create equipment and support systems. Sometimes you have to go into battle with what you have and use private contractors. I can complain that our government has created such an environment for businesses that it makes it more profitable to go overseas. You cannot make business the scapegoat for bad government.

  • I think that companies should be forced to be American OR worldwide. MAKE them choose, and if it turns to be the latter. No more "American" priviledges for them. The customers will regulate the companies that provide goods and service. That seems a perfectly capitalist idea to me. Allowing these FREE companies to devide or decide. Yet, the republican majority would label me a socialist-Maoinizer(?). And then their congressional representation would vote another "bail-out", to complain about.(?)

  • @frecnhdude Dude let me say once. Outsourcing is killing North America in general. Our corrupt Tory government along with US and mexico has been shipping jobs overseas and borrow money from China, the most corruptible country. Corporations and corrupt capitalism is crazy!

  • The republicans do not care about the American people. They do what is right for their wealthy pals. Vote democratic....keep jobs in the U.S.A.

  • they should make it that any company that wants to off shore there companies they should have to pay the workers in the other countries minimum wage in america

  • They love to brag about protecting American jobs! But that doesn't mean they want Americans to HAVE the jobs!

  • @Zhenobia long list of insane stuff they've been saying and doing, of course AIG Exxon and Phizer wrote the GOP platform, have fun with that:o(

  • @RRCSMM Well come back when you learn to wipe your own ass kid. oh forgot this the other thing you socialist are pushing in congress. You nee the governmnet to have union ass wipers to come and wipe your ass, because you are too damn fat and lazy you can't even reach around to find your ass. Oh but you know where Obama's ass is, being you have you head so far up it.

  • @MrSTANDFORAMERICA You're now the newly owned property of RRCSMM. He owns your ass.

  • Comment removed

  • Maybe the Republicans just love Americans so much that they are trying to give American jobs a long term vacation overseas. What a great group of Christians!

  • As if the politicians aren't already selling us out, now their campaigns can be paid for totally in secret.. millions to sway people's votes for who decides our future.

I am amazed at what my country has become.

    A $hame.

  • What could the slaveowners/corporations/banks do if the entire world using the technology that they built using it to try and make the world fair.

The only way to stabalize a WORLD economy is to give all the workers of the world the same wage minimum. Why would you outsource if it would cost you the same over there?

We think the corporations screw us on benefits and wages, but they treat us nice compared to the workers they replace us with in China,India.

    this can be fixed!

  • The entire world is under a new type of slavery. We are under threat of no work/wage/livelyhood unless we can produce goods cheaper than the people living under pet dictatorships which have been installed in poorer countries around the world. The entire worlds peasant population is being played against itself to keep profits high and wages low.

How about the citizens of the world ignoring governments and facebooking a worldwide minimum wage of say 10$ American or chinese......

  • This whole idea that we have to worry about the global economy is bullshit! Let the corporations in other countries worry about the labour in their own country. Why are we not allowed to try and protect our own jobs.

American worldwide companie=Multinational corporations who couldn't care less about "America". There is massive crime afoot. What is it? Ship your labour to the place that is most corrupt and will allow corporations to rob the people of a close to fair wage.

    Legal slavery!

  • anybody who bitches about this video is a real scumbag , partisan hack!

I guess if it's not your job you are just fine with it!

You must be a real Christian!

  • @RAMKING61 That is not surprising, in surveys many of the richest people WANT TO PAY MORE TAX, It is seen as insane, nothing more than self consistent BS and far right dogma to want glorious king boss leader thugs that the Republicans are so keen on.

The democrats have brought TAX CUTS to the middle and working class, they have increased tax on the top few.. because it works, it is fair, it grows skills, economy, low crime and prosperity.

Manure is no good all in one spot.. it fact it stinks.

  • @marsCubed Uh, John Kerry hid his yacht in Rhode Island to avoid paying Massachusetts EXCISE TAXES. The slimewad is the wealthiest member of congress, but he chose to screw his own state of Massachusetts by being a tax cheat.

    Hypocrisy lives.

  • UNBELIEVABLE -- that Republicans would oppose this!!
